Yeah, I think a lot of that is reaction to the quality of teams they have played. That Bills team is also set up well to massacre teams that are overmatched.

The two shutouts came against the Dolphins (who lost their starting QB mid-game) and the Texans (who are an absolute mess and played Davis Mills at QB).

They blew out the Redskins, helped by 4 turnovers that gave the Bills the ball in the red zone or extremely close to it.

The only team Buffalo has played that actually had its starting QB available the entire game was Pittsburgh, and they lost.

When you look at the way the teams matchup, I'm not sure the Bills have done anything on defense that adjusts the matchup. They added some promising young players on the DL, but that unit still is just OK. The LB group is the same - though now possibly without Matt Milano - who, even if healthy, is not a changer. He got roasted in the AFC championship game last year. They have the same basic secondary. One really excellent CB in White, a pair of good safeties, and JAGs at the rest of the spots.

All that said, I do think the Bills are still the Chiefs' biggest competitor in the AFC. It's a game KC can absolutely lose, especially if the defense continues to play poorly. But I will need to see it to believe it.

I'd hope the Chiefs D adjusts a bit - moves Jones inside to gain a better matchup for pass rush - and continues to do a good job playing enough games with Allen to throw him off on enough drives to let the Chiefs O score and take control of the game.

Bills have #1 scoring defense.

This is going to be a dogfight.

Record of teams Bills have played so far: 5-11
Record of teams Chiefs have played so far: 9-6 (Chargers play tonight, so could be as much as 10-6 if they beat Raiders.)

Sounds like the Bills have improved since our last beatdown of them, but we've at least strengthened our O-line as well. Last year everybody expected our games with them to be really tough, but it seemed like we just matched up really well with them and Chiefs were in control. Hopefully that's still the case.

It's a mirage.

Ben Roethlisberger
Tua Tagavailoia (for like a quarter) + Jacoby Brissett
Taylor Heinecke
Davis Mills

^ have more to do with the Bills being the #1 scoring defense than the Bills defensive personnel. Which is pretty good but not this good.

I hope you're right.

They are giving up 3.2 YPC and if CEH is shut down that Cover 2 look is going to be tough with their safeties and Edmunds.

KC will roast that defense. They will not be able to shut down this offense. All we can hope for is that our defense can slow their offense down some.

Bills defense isn’t good enough to consistently stop us. At worst, we lose by one possession.

I will say this, their pass rushers are absolutely nothing to fear.

I feel pretty good if we get our CBs back.

It's not that hard to stone the run when you aren't worried at all about the QB beating you.

They haven't played a team yet that can throw the ball even at an average level in this league.

The Chiefs also have a better run-blocking unit at this point in the season than any of the teams the Bills have faced so far.

I have no faith in our defense being able to slow them down. We're always a step behind or a step too slow. It seems like it's been terribly easy for QB's to find the open 1v1 guy. The defense has yet to show all season that they can defend 4 yards at a time, hence why teams continue to go for it on 4th down.

I feel like maybe NFL OC's are on to all of Spag's tricks and blitzes.

We will need a two possession lead at 2:00 to go.. Hopefully we score at the end of the first half then double up with the first possession of the second half.. That is if we win the toss and kick off to start.. I see this as a back and forth scoring fest..

May be the most competitive Chiefs/Bills game of the Mahomes era. When competition is at the highest level, I’ll take Mahomes over Allen 10 out of 10 times.
