This isnt a playoff team...

Defense just sucks too ****in' much.

No pass rush, safeties can't cover over the top, LB's are slow.

The defense takes all of the wind out of this team's sails.

Offense was totally lethargic today. They knew the defense was trash and couldn’t make the plays they needed to make. There was absolutely no fire. When the game is going badly, put the ball in the hands of your play makers.!

MEH getting hurt might be a best case scenario for this offense.

Maybe they’ll finally stop trying to make a silk purse from a sow’s ear and stop running the ****ing ball on 1st down like Herm Edwards is in charge.

That goddamn run, short pass, run, punt drive may have been the most infuriating drive I’ve seen in Reid’s tenure. Just completely inexcusable and things predictably fell to hell from that point forward.

Don’t think we sniff the SB this year, but the two previous teams to make 3 consecutive SBs had a similar problem. Their 3rd team wasn’t as impressive and struggled through the season. The 90s Bills and 10s Pats. The 1992 Bills was a wildcard and made the SB the hard way. 2018 Patriots went 11-5 and simply weren’t as dominant as past Patriot teams in the regular season.

It’s tough to recover from 2 straight SB trips. Everyone has you circled on the schedule, injury, fatigue, arrogance, etc are all factors I’m sure. If we manage to make a 3rd straight SB it’s going to be done the “hard way” as this is our worst team since atleast 2017

I don't quite understand how the defense is so monumentally awful this season. I mean, they weren't that good last year or the year before, but they were a lot better than whatever this shit is. Going into this season with the addition of Bolton, Reed, and a healthy Thornhill, I actually expected them to be a top 10-15 defense this year. How foolish I was to think that...

They just finished by far the toughest stretch of the season and should frankly be sitting at 4-1. The only way they miss the playoffs is if the turnovers keep piling up, which I don’t see happening.

I think this will look like a much more balanced team by the end of the year. Spags will make changes (unless he wants to lose his job). Less snaps for Sorenson, possibly move Jones back to DT, get Gay involved, more aggressive calls, etc. They’re not going to give up 30 points every game. Things will balance out, especially as they start to play lesser offenses.

How many times did the Patriots have a rough start only to go to the SB?

Even with the way the defense has played, I still view most of the remaining games as should-win games. I don’t see any that should be chalked up as a loss. I don’t think a big winning streak is out of the question at all.

Half of CP jerks off furiously anytime we have an amazing day running the football and move the ball roughly 80% as well as we would on a bad day passing it.

I’ll never understand the fascination with doing things the hard way.

Yeah right from the beginning it was looking like one of those nights. The 3rd down pass that went through Tyreek's hands and hit him in the facemask and then the fumble on the kick return. Not a good way to start the game. The offense has overall been good. They're just making critical mistakes. It's been uncharacteristic. Don't really know what's up.

In defense of this trash defense - the offense was probably worse tonight.

It was laughably inept from about the 3rd play of the game (Robinson holding penalty) forward.

I think EB is calling the plays. They showed Andy right after a play, and it looked like he wasn't calling plays.

That's probably why we're getting those shitty first down runs.

They’ve gotten old and complacent rather quickly. Time to change up the roster.
