Draft players with skillsets you're going to utilize, it's that simple. With that said, no GM bats a thousand when it comes to the draft or free agents. For every Breeland Speaks, Josh Kaindoh, or Jarran Reid there has been a Sneed, Creed Humphrey, or Charvarious Wards (to name a few). Not to mention this draft class could have even more gems than the last. Veach has done a great job overall. With that said Clyde still has time hit his stride. Clyde staying healthy has played a big factor.

For the record my guy was J.K. Dobbins, of whom has also been injured. That's kinda how it goes sometimes.

It really feels like Juju and Skyy will be massive upgrades over Pringle and Robinson. Guys who can cut and and separate vs guys who really can't. Awesome to see.

Hardman can make plays. Just not consistently. He'll hang on as a JAG in the NFL and if he's smart with his money should be set for life. Good for him. Can't wait till he's gone so we don't have to pretend he was worth a second round pick anymore.

Only on CP is the expectation that you consistently get All-Pros in the 2nd round.

As far as mid-late 2nd round picks go, Hardman is absolutely on the plus side.

There's yet another PBU courtesy of McDuffie in 1 on 1s against MVS on the Chiefs IG story.

Dude had himself a day.

I knew after a few practices, when things started slowing down for him, he'd really start to shine.

Not asking for all pros. Just, if we miss in the second round, want us to not pretend like we didn't for years and keep forcing the player on the field.

Again, this is just flat out wrong.

You want to know what a "miss" is? Go look at Parris Campbell and JJ Arcega-Whiteside, both of whom were 2nd round WRs that year.

Hardman was not a "miss" by any means.

Also, they are not "forcing the player on the field". He's been productive in his role since his rookie year and throughout his career so far, and he really started to thrive in it down the stretch last year.

At the end of the day all you can be is the best version of yourself.

Unfortunately, Mecole's skill set could also be described as explosive but limited. He's never really going to break that mold, break ankles with fluid cuts in his route running. Seeing Skyy light it up has to make him feel a little insecure. He'll be fine though. He's always played his heart out.
I’m not feeling sorry for the guy. No matter what, he’s going to make millions before he’s 30.

Do you really feel like we forced Hardman on the field? Should Pringle or Robinson have gotten his opportunities? Who was the other person for Mahomes to look to downfield after Hill and Kelce?

Hardman started playing much better toward the end of last season and not just in a gadget role. I'm as honest as they come about his shortcomings and his consistently playing the game like a dummy, but he absolutely was showing more late in the season.

Andy himself acknowledged this. I believe his words were that they really got "into a groove" with him and his role down the stretch.
