Off-season WR possibilities

Seeing a lot of teams with sub .500 records with WRs that need to get with Mahomes.

Who is available and who would you like to see us pursue to go with Rice and Watson.

I know I’m being fussy but tee feels like he’ll be the biggest overpay in the market. He will get paid too shelf WR money and I don’t think he’s close to that. If he gets a reasonable contract it’s worth considering but not at what I think he’s gonna get. If you’re gonna pay big, then you need that wr to be elite

I don't know who they're targeting, but in my not-so-humble armchair GM opinion, we need to sign both a splash name, a solid name, and draft a guy high. Dream sequence would be Tee Higgins and Darnell Mooney as the signings, and Troy Franklin in the draft. Use literally all other draft capital on the offensive and defensive lines (tackle on defense, specifically). It likely means we don't bring back Chris Jones and maybe even Willie Gay (hoping they find a way to hold on to Sneed).

Realistically, we'll likely sign a middling FA receiver that COULD do well with Mahomes throwing it to him (think Pittman) and draft a guy from a small school with huge potential somewhere in the middle rounds.

Calvin Ridley would be an instant plug n play #1 WR from an offense that is familiar with ours. He just turned 29 a few days ago.

Pay him and use our 1st on another WR. There ya go

Look what Mike Evans has done in his career with mediocre QBs.

Evans, then Ridley.

people call Devontae Adams a top 5 WR…but Mike Evans has better numbers and people don’t consider him in the same category. Mike Evans should be the top of the list

Evan’s and Ridley are gonna make 20 plus million and are 30.

What in his history says Veach would do that?

If you pay a guy, you aren’t drafting one high. Maybe in the 2nd but that first would probably be a Dt

I don’t get why anyone thinks tagging and trading Jones is even remotely an option. It’s just not happening.

Veach might overcompensate for this season's disaster and overpay for a WR. Especially if the market calls for it.
