I guess you are okay with heavily risking Mahomes having a limited career then. And after you watch OB have a stellar year at LT and Mahomes is pristinely kept all season making play after play kicking ass and you are 'still not willing to overpay a bit" to keep him Fort Knoxed Up for the next 6-10 yrs ?

Hmmmmmmm.......I wonder if Lamborghini owners in the midwest, south and back east park their cars in the driveway ?? You see Danoh, their is life outside of you literal sh**hole burnt up state of CA and the weather is much harsher elsewhere. But it is not surprising you make this comment because life only exists where 'you live'.

You avoid hail damage at all cost and I DON'T WANT ANY HAIL DAMAGE ON MY LAMBORGHINI QB and so far he has experienced just very heavy thunderstorms at times with no hail. And we've been lucky.

We traded for OBJ because he demanded to play LT, and the Ravens said, "Well I guess we'll have to trade you, then..." Had he not done that, he wouldn't have been available. Veach likely would be looking to the draft like a bunch of us thought he would. And no, he probably wasn't going to trade the farm just to move up enough spots to take the 3rd or 4th best OT available.

Would you have accused him of not protecting his Lamborghini?

I completely recognize the tough spot they were in after not getting Williams. They tried, and I appreciate that. But this really is do or die. Not interested in excuses. Especially after you cut Fisher. Give us something that we can believe in to protect the chosen one. Don't care about your problems, find a way. He did.

Protecting your cap or protecting your Lamborghini ?

IMHO you CAN do both and over pay a bit to justify protecting your Lamborghini who wins you championships. Huge cap space with no Lamborghini QB doesn't win you crap.

Here is a scriptural lesson for you that makes my point that sometimes you must overpay.

Matthew 13:44-46

Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl

44 “The Kingdom of Heaven(winning the SB) is like a treasure(Mahomes) that a man(Veach) discovered hidden in a field. In his(Veach's) excitement, he hid it again(before the 2017 draft) and sold everything he owned to get enough money(moving up 17 spots in the draft) to buy the field(Mahomes).

45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven(winning the SB) is like a merchant(GM Veach) on the lookout for choice pearls(OBjr.). 46 When he(Veach) discovered a pearl of great value(OBjr), he(Veach) sold everything he owned and bought it(generous extended contracts to both Mahomes and OBjr.)!
