This is obviously a terrible thing to have happened, but if there’s one thing that we can be thankful for out of this is that it wasn’t the latter. If it was, this could have been so much worse with so many people in one spot with almost nowhere to immediately run to.

Ok Einstein... After listening to the eyewitness reports and watching the video of the shooting and clearly hearing a fully automatic weapon, and then seeing the individual tackled and the gun that was in his back pack, do you think this was a person conducting a mass shooting or a conflict between individuals that ended in shots fired? If it is the latter, then you have to ask yourself, what teenager carries a fully auto AR pistol in a back pack and wears a blue bandana that is readily considered gang attire? GTFO

It's definitely strange, but I suspect that a kid shooting a semi-automatic through a backpack hasn't spent a ton of time at a shooting range refining his technique.

If you listened to the eyewitness account the teenagers were leaving then one turned around with is hand in his backpack and then started shooting. Shooting a fully auto AR pistol while it's in a backpack would not be very accurate.
