Unbiased people are saying it was a great trade for both teams.

Joe Flacco & Phillip Rivers just put in for early retirement. Derek Carr decided on gender reassignment surgery when news of Clark's trade came out.

Ford didn't fit as a 4-3 NFL DE. It's true. Houston I've always liked, but at that money at this point in his career, it just didn't make sense. Paying Clark Houston's money? as a 26 year old still ascending player that's a perfect scheme fit and good-lord-get-a-load-of-those-highlight-reels, yeah, it's a no-brainer. KC got a LOT better today. Jones and Clark are going to wreck worlds next to each other. I mean what the **** do you DO about those two? Dude. |

Doesn't the NFL frown upon that?

I think that’s where I am. Clark should be a good piece on a defense that needs a player of his stature. The Seahawks seemed to get back a fair package in return. Now they have to go do something with those picks.

Pretty excited. Glad the second rounder is next season. Still in good shape to draft some quality players.
Clark is more well rounded than dee ford. Plays the run well, and had 13 sacks last year. Plus, Clark has only missed 2 games in the 64 he could have possibly played. I would be shocked to see Dee Ford not only make it through the season uninjured, but to replicate what he did without a Jones and Houston to account for. #29 and Dee Ford for Frank Clark? All ****ing day long. Ford ****ed us out of a trip to the superbowl not knowing where the **** he was on the field. I'll probably NEVER get over that. Honestly glad he is gone so we dont have that constant reminder.

This was the trump move that Veach had been holding out for all offseason. He tried the Honey Badger/Thomas safety combination and just missed. He probably had this or Clowney or Lawrence on the radar beyond that. I'm just so happy the idea wasn't to go in there with the guys we had assembled before today and some draft picks. That would've been an epic failure in my mind. Kinda bummed Veach ruined my Thursday night but excited otherwise. We're going to win a SB this next season. |

Fwiw Seattle fans are mostly upset he's leaving, that should say something. How many here were pissed Dee Ford got tossed?

Dee ford on 5 year 85m contract 1st round pick on a cheap contract Frank Clark 5 year 105m contract No one is going to convince me we're better off with the latter. Hell, just in the past few years we've gotten Peters (didn't end well), and Chris Jones with our 1st pick (I know Jones was a 2nd round pick) If we drafted another Chris Jones or Peters, having them and ford would undoubtedly be better than Just Frank Clark for 2019, 2020, and 20201 No?
