Rumors: cleveland looks to trade more players: Josh Gordon

Josh Gordon Trade Rumors: Latest Buzz and Speculation Surrounding Browns WR
BY JOSEPH ZUCKER
(FEATURED COLUMNIST)
ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2013

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports
The Cleveland Browns' fire sale may yet continue as the team has reportedly made wide receiver Josh Gordon available.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns are willing to part with Gordon along with fellow wide receiver Greg Little:

ESPN's Adam Caplan adds that Gordon has actually been on the trade block for "several weeks":

Gordon is returning to the field in Week 3 after serving a two-game suspension at the start of the regular season, following a violation of the league's substance-abuse policy. He came into the season with some lofty expectations after his rookie year, in which he caught 50 passes for 805 yards and five touchdowns.

This news is exactly what Browns fans won't want to hear. It comes the same week as Cleveland essentially gave up on the 2013 season just two weeks into the season, first naming Brian Hoyer the starting quarterback over the banged-up Brandon Weeden and backup Jason Campbell, and then trading Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts.

For a fanbase as tortured as the Browns' it will hurt to see yet another talented offensive player be pushed out the door.

Only 22 years old, Gordon will continue to improve, and he's the kind of player a team can build a receiving corps around. The fact that Cleveland is thinking about offoading him is arguably more surprising than the Richardson trade.

However, if Cleveland is really in rebuild mode, it would make sense to cash in now on its most marketable asset and prepare for the future. The trio of Joe Banner, Michael Lombardi and Rob Chudzinski have a definite direction they're taking this team. They're not afraid to burn some bridges in the short term if it helps the long term, either.

Only time will tell if the plan works out.

You've already come close to shaming yourself off of this board. Why don't you do us all a favor and get the **** out of here and go post your Browns drivel somewhere where somebody gives a shit. With their gigantic fanbase you should be able to find other reeruns to converse with.
LOL. I cant help but laugh at you.

Who cares what my Sig, and avatar says. I can talk Chiefs football with the BEST of them. And in case you didn't notice you phenomenal tool, we are discussing, how Josh Gordon would of affected the CHIEFS.

You are overly sensitive you little bitch.

And notice you said, "almost shamed". I survived. I learned, I grew. You, are a flaming dumb ass. You are a flaming reerun. So, your words, as filled with vile and venom as they are, do nothing but make me giggle.

Having a Chiefs avatar while being a Browns fan on Chiefs Planet is like being a Raiders fan and wearing a Chiefs jersey to Arrowhead stadium because your too much of a pussy to show your true colors.

You haven't learned anything or grew at all. You'll hang around here until you've finally wore out your welcome with everyone here and then slink off to some other board and proclaim to like that team even though your a Browns fan.

Internet tough guy? . I assure you that there is nothing I post to anyone that I wouldn't say to them face to face. I find you calling anyone out for their online behavior laughable after you proclaimed you could track somebody down and were completely plunked for acting like an incredible douche.

Yeah yeah yeah. I have had a browns avatar up before. I just CHOSE to take it down when they traded Trent Richardson. But, I don't give a shit what you say. How you think, affects nothing in my life.

The fact that you have to continually go back to something that happened months ago, shows just how pathetic you are.

Its all you got.

It bothers me none at all.

My avatar, is in respect to the Chiefs, and to their respectful fans.

Your opinion, whether you like me, or don't, means absolutely JACK shit to me.

And considering that we would never have the slightest chance of meeting face to face, I could care less what you would say to anyone.

We good?

Move along tool.

I guarantee that anything that anyone posts about you bothers you immensely. You've shown enough in your short time here for everyone to know that your self-esteem is driven by your online popularity.

If you ever come to Arrowhead, PM me. We can meet up and I'll buy you a beer. I'll tell you that I think your online persona makes you look like a giant douchebag and you can tell me that anything I say doesn't hurt your feelings. We can then go into the stadium and you can pretend to give a shit about the game.

Yeah....When, not if I come to arrowhead, you can pretty much bet that you wont be on my list of people to bother with.

Its nothing personal, its well, nothing.

You have me wrong on one thing though. It intrigues me when people say stuff about me. If you haven't noticed, I do enjoy talking with people.

I enjoy bantering with people, I enjoy having a verbal sparring contest with people.

Its nothing more.

I laugh immensely that you think that I walk away from my computer and give this any thought.

And, I don't hold grudges.

As you have seen, not that you care, Clay and I have had many many many many many many verbal sparring matches on this board.

I can at any time talk civily on here with him, and I have zero ill will towards him.

Or anyone for that matter. yeah, I ****ed up, I got called on all of my bluffing. I owned it. I moved on. And yes, the whole wear out my welcome and move along thing was stated then too.

id dare say that with the exception of some guys like yourself that cant let go, I have built a solid standing on this board. Even through playing GTA online with some of the guys on here got to meet some great guys.

Ill be here for a long time. I love it here.

So, get used to it, or get over it.

Thanks for the invite for a beer though.

Ahhh, last point.

Your online persona, makes you seem like such a fabulous chap by the way.

Hi pot, meet kettle.

I wouldn't anyway. Its none of your business. That's why you commenting on it in the first place, was foolish.

That's why it was directed soley at Clay. He understood it.
