Any win in Hilton is good. But boy did we play bad enough to lose. What sucks for ISU is that team is really bad if they're not hitting 50% from 3, so that means they're really bad. This is the worst rebounding team under Self I can remember and the rebound differential at one point was +21 for KU. Jesus. If we had a TRob or Withey or someone that could bound it would have been ugly.

Seriously. Jackson had 6 points I think. Mason didn't light it up, we turned the ball over a shitload, gave up a bunch of open 3s, and didn't shoot well from the stripe. That's bad enough to get beat at Hilton. Easy.

I hope Mason is OK. He didn't look the same after he got dinged up.

Solid win minus the TOs. 17 in a row is nice!

Boooooooo!!!

Is that the dumbest fan base in college hoops? They boo everything, including when it's legitimate calls against and even for their team.

As to the game last night, I was glad to see that Bragg is finally starting to get back to playing well. He still needs improvement, especially on defense, but he looked decent. Maybe it was due to playing a smaller team. And Lucas has been good in conference play but man, just dunk the damn ball when it's right there for the taking.

2 things.

1. They are that dumb. Yes.

2. They started the whole booing everything during that game that Elijah Johnson ****ing RAPED those sword swallowers.

When I was at Cabela's I had to audit a distribution center in Prairie Du Chien WI. Since Sidney was in BFE, I had to drive the ****er. Anyway, on the trip back, I was in ****ing Iowa, and I regardless of how fast I drove I couldn't get back within radio range of KC before the KU game started, so I had to listen to ISU radio.

... .... ... HOLY SHIT. Now remember, this was the 08 team. ISU brought a good game, and pt together a good run on us, but they were outmatched, and not by a little. But those ****ing announcers were worse than anything I'd ever heard. The local guys that do the high school games here are better. At one point, I'm pretty sure the color guy actually booed. They were just as ****ing whiney and douchey as their fans. They spent the whole time bitching and whining that they missed a travel or an over the back (dick in the butt for Saul) foul rather than tell the listeners what the **** was going on during the ****ing game. It was ****ing abysmal.

So yes, the reerun is institutionalized. I'm certain of it.

Yes he needs to rack that shit and stop playing that shit off the backboard... **** man, we were yelling all night to house the ****ing ball and draw the contact....

Lucas needs to unpuss himself around the rim and start eating souls...

I don't know what the deal is with Bragg. I think the suspension made him regress significantly. I think he's right about back to where he was before the suspension.

I don't know if it was mental, or the missed practice time or what, but he backed up fast.

The other side is that Burton douchenozzle is their 5 man. He can score, but I can roll out better defense than he is. Hopefully Bragg is making progress rather than playing a joke of defense. I at least saw hustle out of it.

As far as Lucas, he needs to quit worrying about shit, and when he gets an open look with a good pass and just chin the goddamned ball and make the ****ing shot, rather than gather himself for the dunk. He is getting the ball stolen by guards because he brings it down.

No way... They've been doing that for a LOT longer than the Elijah game... They and K-State have both been booing hysterically since the early Self years.

Kinda funny article about Perry Ellis, although the UK photoshop link might be better (in the Deadspin comments), until you get to UK fan idiocy at the bottom.
