I think these numbers are a little skewed.
The guy I know at Wal Mart here in town confirms what you just said about Best Buy - yes, they've sold twice as many XBox's because they've RECEIVED twice as many XBox's. The sales percentage is 100% for both boxes and they're both selling just as fast as they get them. It's the opposite at Gamestop. PS4 is outselling XBox. But as we've seen in some of the stuff others have posted, Sony supplied Gamestop with a much larger allotment than they did other retailers. The bottom line is that both boxes are selling just about as fast as they come in. |

PSN wasn't hacked. Individual PSN accounts were compromised. And it appears that the author is insinuating that this was a phishing scam. Seriously, reading comprehension fail. |

No reading comprehension fail. Accounts on psn were hacked which means psn was hacked in some way. Now they are reporting that some PSN passwords have been changed. |

Probably a bit easier in the burbs since you have less people per square mile to compete with?

Target seems to be good for at least trickling in a few every couple days, that's for sure- haven't seen it like that anywhere else. Must have to do with their distribution setup.

Perhaps you didn't read "Hacked PSN Accounts?" You don't know if they obtained information through Playstation and judging by the title and password changes, I am guessing they did. Idiot. |

No, I don't know if they obtained the information through PSN. Neither do you. But that didn't stop you from shouting "PSN HACKED!" Obviously, if you had actually comprehended the title of the article and what was in it, you would see that there is NOTHING AT ALL ANYWHERE suggesting that PSN itself was compromised. And I'm the idiot. |

If Sony sends emails to users their network was compromised, not the other way around. http://www.hngn.com/articles/18970/2...vulnerable.htm Downloading content to another person's account to the hacker's PlayStation device may seem like a fruitless effort but, theoretically, the person in control of the account could designate their PlaySation device as the "primary" console, then proceed to download the content. When the victim resets their passwords, the access would then be revoked. However, assuming the game in question doesn't require DRM verification, or if the unverified PlaStation is kept offline, they could possibly still use the content for the game. It's just more likely that this is a Sony problem vs a credit card problem. |
