2019 Free agency Thread
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research. https://overthecap.com/ |

I can see Veach’s philosophy here. You have a few more years until Pat makes insane cap hits and this is an all in season.
Ferrell, Bradbury and Murphy will be long gone along with the other blue chippers. If you can trade 29 for a player as good as Frank Clark has been, why not? This is it man. The next 2-3 years is a great opportunity for us. Gotta draft well and find decent cheap players like Wylie, Reiter, Ward though. Should be interesting.

We've been burned on woman beaters already; we just jettisoned the huge contracts. We don't need to shell out for another one. |

I doubt Veach wants to part ways with his 1st overall. He'll try to pry Clark away with some 2nds.

Are the Chiefs just going to ignore Hill and Jones...and pay high priced FAs Mathieu and Clark first? Jones has to be thinking WTF....

It will be significantly harder when Pat is making $35-40 million cap hits.

Why does Seattle want to move him? That should be a legitimate question in this whole equation.
Young, productive...home grown. You normally retain those players... |

At this point if we get 2 more great seasons out of Hill - then let him go when he might be losing a step anyway - I'm ok with it. Giving him a big contract just seems like a bad idea.
Unless it comes out that he definitively had nothing to do with the issues with the kid. |
