*****Official 2025 Royals Season Repository Thread*****

Coming off an American League Divisional Series appearance, its year 3 of Matt Quatraro tenure. Can they take the next step to a division title? Can Bobby Witt, Jr. take his superstar status to another level? Can Cole Ragans develop more? Will the other starting pitching duplicate last season? The offense can it deliver more? Who will be in the outfield? How about the new stadium development?

It sucks but this offense is terrible. In a normal situation he should have been sidelined a while ago. But we have to claw for any offense we can find, and he's a guy with a long track record of starting terribly. If he puts up an .800 OPS in June and July we could use it.

He wasn't playing much, but he was 6-20 with 3 doubles in the time he did play these last two weeks. I'm just saying I get why JJ did it, just in the last 3-4 years we've had this same convo, then watched Soler become a WS MVP, watch Carlos Santana come alive, watch Ryan O'Hearn become a legit dangerous hitter. Royals seem to struggle with these low average slugger types. But sometimes that's just a change of scenery for a guy.

Bad fit for a slow low avg guy with some supposed occasional pop in his swing. Kaufman is spacious and played against his strengths

Loftin probably has the chance to push him out. Biggio does take walks. He has a .303 OBP which is one of the better ones on the team. If Loftin hits he gets a huge edge, if he plays like last year then they're basically the same player just lefty/righty and get platooned like Frazier and Hampson did last year, just with more walks.

I think there's a real shot he's up by the All Star break, if not the end of June if he keeps hitting like this. They'll probably see if AAA pitching can adjust to him and then how he responds.

The Savannah Bananas make me hate baseball even more and appreciate regular baseball even more at the same time. Didn't know that was possible. 3 straight hours of torture. Just noise for hours and dumb dancing.

Caglianone just hit another bomb. They are playing at altitude this week and it's another football score. Melendez just had his 4th hit of the night too.
