Chiefs open, close season with road games

The Chiefs will begin and finish the season with a pair of road games, according to the schedule released by the NFL today.

The Chiefs will open with games at Houston on Sept. 9 and at defending NFC champion Chicago on Sept. 16.

The home opener is Sept. 23 against Minnesota.

The Chiefs will play six of eight games at Arrowhead Stadium during one mid-season stretch. They are scheduled for no national television appearances other than their season finale on Dec. 30 against the Jets in New York.

The game is tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. and be televised by NBC. The network has the option of showing a different game in that window, meaning the Chiefs-Jets game would switch to an afternoon time slot.

I think I used it as a painting shirt/rag the other day when we painted the rooms of our home, but you can still burn it if you want.....


I will make it to a home game this year (at the very least, one) I have only been to arrowhead twice in the last (wow) 10 years?

Why on the NFL website does it say the last few games are at 2 (1:00) instead of 1 (noon)?

The thing I can't believe is that they don't do anything to hype the Chiefs/Packers game. Let's see, the two teams who played in the first Super Bowl. Brett Farve's first game in Arrowhead in over 10 years. And, oh yeah, in what might be Farve's final season, KC is the only team in the NFL that can say "we've beaten Brett Farve every time we've played him".

I'm going to my first every Denver Broncos game.

I've been to a handful of Raiders games because I got addicted to trash talking the jackasses in silver&black, and I haven't yet had a chance to mix it up with the Broncos fans.

I'm going to one other game. I'm either seeing Brett Favre's farewell tour or I'm going to catch the Miami preseason game if Trent gets traded there.

cool, Arrowhead man, I remember him, can't say for sure if I saw FDE, seems there have been other impersonators and this was a while ago.

Granted we had no business making the playoffs last year, but no night time and/or nationally televised games is a slap in the face! Hopefully this will give this team a chip on their shoulders and have them overachieve this year.
