What will our record be and will LJ holdout?

I get a strange feeling he will not be around when summer camp kicks off. I hope the chiefs find a team who will pay him and give us some picks for next years draft. We are rebuilding and the whole team looks to be gutted for next year. Defense seems pretty young (only thing I look for improvement in next year). Offense seems to be in shambles with a unproven QB, and no O-line. I don't see us winning many games in the next year. So why keep LJ. We will get draft picks and probably end up picking in the 10th spot or higher. Lets go 4-12 and pick up a 1st and 4th for LJ.

Brennan for the next QB of chiefs and two good O-linemen in 2008. Realistically how many wins will we have next year.

That doesn't make sense, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that selling tickets is easier if you're winning.

Now that isn't to say that Carl is the right man to get us on the winning track, but I do believe he is trying to win the best he can because that is what anyone would do.

Hell even you would do that reerun and you post reeruned shit like this. You probably wouldn't do worth a shit, but I'm sure you'd try.

I would probably be a complete tool like Daniel Snyder is in Washington... You guys would be banging me on this board like a 3 peckered billy goat at a sheep auction...

I would suck as a GM... MY FFL teams are usually pretty solid though...

The fact that KC still sells out is pretty damning evidence that "mediocrity equates to putting butts in the seats".

It's pretty damning evidence that mediocrity won't PREVENT putting butts in the seats.

Even if the Chiefs sucked bad enough to get the #1 pick in the draft, Carl's record tells us he would rather trade down. I don't ever see him paying 100 million for the top QB. He is just too much of a ballbuster in contract negotiations.

I wonder if LJ will ever see his 80 mill as a chief.

You'd pay LJ 80 million over 8 years?

No. I just don't see that amount of money ever coming from the Chiefs toward any player while Carl is in town. Dude hides his own nickles in jars in his back yard. He is not a gambler, sometimes that's good, and sometimes it's the shits. You miss out on a young Elway, yadda yadda. Now on the flipside when Peyton Manning is 2 years from retirement and nobody cares Carl will call him up and offer him the starting job of the Chiefs I'm sure. By that time who gives a crap, but it will sell tickets!

Carl will always get his deal under his terms. You have to think of Carl Petersen like a 401K plan. Low risk, Low reward...Stable. 8-8
