Draft Analysis: Croyle Undisputed #1 QB?

So does this mean Croyle is Herm's guy?
After all the speculation and coveting of Brohm and Ryan and others, KC did not draft a QB (through the 6th rd).

What do you think? From my foxhole, it looks like Herm/Gailey are willing to go into 2008 with Croyle at #1 on the depth chart.

And Gailey should be an improvement over Solari, without a doubt. I mean, JFC, you seen his photo? It looks really 'special'
Thanks, Tex. Having Charles' speedy wheels and cuts in on that draw play won't hurt a bit. Old timers will recall Todd McNair having a guady 6 ypc avg in the early 90s as a 3rd down back. Great receiver, too.

They said the top two players on their board were McFadden and Dorsey.

And like I said earlier, I'm glad the Raiders picked McFadden.

I'm really on Croyle's bandwagon and hope he makes a lot of sniff'n'toss fans eat crow. Having said that I wish I were reading an article or two about how he is hitting the gym this off-season to gain about 15 pounds of muscle.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I wish I could say I see it in Croyle, but I don't. He's erratic as hell at times and hasn't shown any poise in the pocket. He also tends to force things. I think we'll be looking for his replacement after this upcoming season. He's undersized and besides have a cannon for an arm I wouldn't exactly call him accurate. He seems like a good kid, but I regretfully don't see him as our long-term franchise QB.

Ryan, in about 0.00001 seconds. I've never seen Quinn as anything special.

As for trading for him, the dude went 22nd last year. No way in hell I'd give up a first round pick in '09, after he's rotted on the bench for two years gaining (presumably) no meaningful NFL experience. Particularly a high first rounder. Whether it's his fault or not, the situation in Cleveland isn't raising his value...

If Anderson gets hurts and he lights it up, different story.

Maybe it ends up being a situation like SD with Brees and Rivers down the line.

It's too early to know. Last year this time nobody looked any good for the 08 draft except Brohm. QBs emerge every year. I hope it won't be our problem next year anyway. I just don't like Quinn that much because I saw him in a couple of games and wasn't impressed.

He was given a knives to go to machinegun fights. Show me one person who would be poised in that situation. When 6 0r 7 D-players are in your face the moment the ball is snapped your accuracy and consistancy is in the shitter.

QB's Anthony Morelli from Penn State and Paul Smith from Tulsa went undrafted; either deserve a look at the #3 or the PS.

The only thing I see Croyle hitting in the off season is his wife. He is still going to be a paper-mache target this year.

Ok, everyone knows Tom Brady and I'll even give Jim Harbaugh, but really?

John Navarre

Brian Griese
Todd Collins
Elvis Grbac

Color me unimpressed.
