I'll bet Jack Harry will know a week ahead of time who our DC will be? He's such a good reporter!

Truth is, I've not seen behavior like this on another Chiefs board in quite some time.

This place is unwelcoming to fellow Chiefs fans...but that's your burden to bear.
you're fat and smelly

The reason why this place belittles n00bs who start relevent discussion topics about football is because this place is HUGE. It dwarfs over WPI or any other second-rate Chiefs fan board you want to list. So a big news item happens, like the Chiefs fired Herm Edwards. For the next two weeks, discussions about coaches will be had and had and re-had. Discussions will go in circles. Actual valid points will be brought up. Football will be discussed.

In addition to good football points, various posters will make stupid posts. We all do it. I do it all the time. A comraderie will be formed over funny stuff like stupid posts, stupid posters, what have you.

Somebody coming into this place who's just an occasional poster will want to talk about Haley's defensive coordinator. But guess what? IT'S ALREADY BEEN DONE. It's still going on, in fact, if you know where to look. It's your job, since you missed the bulk of the conversation, to find the threads that are discussing it (there are PLENTY) and then make your point and get in on the discussion.

This place moves too quickly for some people to NOT laugh at n00bs who think they can just start any thread when they want a question answered. The same goes for this guy's post about Pendergast. He wants to know about Pendergast, so he posted it once. Nothing. Posted it twice. Nothing. Posted it again. People told him to shut up. And all of a sudden we're "idiots" for calling HIM an impatient reerun.

You're right. Chiefsplanet is NOT for some people. You're probably one of them. Go ahead and go to WPI. The posters are nowhere NEAR as funny, witty, or knowledgable about football as the posters on here, but at least you won't have your precious feelings hurt anytime somebody punches you in your little girl vagina.

Oh, sorry, I probably shouldn't have said that. That would make me an idiot.
can we post this in a FAQ for noobs?

this is a great post...so good we shouldn't even allow noobs to read it...

but seriously, shouldn't we have a noob FAQ?

810 WHB was pimping Jack Harry today as though he broke the Haley news!? What's up with that? When did JH say anything about Haley? I know he screwed up the Shanahan story. I guess they're trying to rejuevenate his reputation.

I am not usually a nice guy, but I am going to be one here.

This board is a no holds barred forum.

I've battled with other posters like Skip, mecca, Dane, BigRedChief, etc, etc....
We've called each other names and insulted.
We've fought and argued, and generally lacked civility.

But in the end, I think you will find that we all enjoy the battles and in spite of the heat of those battles, we all have respect for each other.

The point is, don't take things so damn personally.

Yeah, sometimes we think you're a dumbass, but that doesn't mean that we can't respect and like you.

Just stop being a pussy, and you'll get along fine.

To actually talk football noob style... Pendergast was fired because the HC wants to go in a new direction. He wants to move the defense more to a 3-4 look. Pendergast runs a 4-3. He might not be a great DC, but he wouldn't be bad and Haley would sure know him well. The LB coach for the Cards would be a good possibility. He has connections to Pittsburgh under Cowher. He was the DC for the 49ers a few years back. I think his name is Bill Davis.

The other two names commonly brought up is Romeo Crennel and Todd Bowles also.
