Week 17 bye and 4 seed

Sit everyone. Take the 4 seed.

Play Buffalo and their shit QB at home.

Take our chances at Baltimore.

We'll have to hope the Texans beat the Titans. Then we get the Raiders in that scenario.

Just play it out. You don't have that many backups to sit everyone anyway, just play it out and hope you stay healthy. The defense is rolling and the offense is really getting hot, just keep going.

It really sucks how much luck plays out in a season. The Chiefs had that rough stretch there with injuries and such, which is gonna keep them from a bye. The Ravens didn't have any big injuries and the Pats had the weak schedule to feast on.

Oh well.

If I have to choose who to play at home being the Chiefs between Bills, Steelers and Titans.

Gimme in this order:

1) Steelers
2) Bills
3) Titans

*Tits are last. Even though I feel confident Chiefs will beat them; they should give a Chiefs fan a bit of concern. Andy Reid has a terrible record against the Tits. I think he is like 1-7 or something.

The Tits aren’t a team to sleep on or take lightly. If you let them hang in there and underestimate them, they could creep up on you and beat you. And given Andy Reid’s coaching tendencies on how he coaches conservatively if his team has big leads in ball games against that team with the way Tannehill has been playing lately, that makes me a little concerned. And what I saw earlier in this year, Vrabel out managed, out coached Reid late in the game.

Don’t get me wrong, Chiefs will beat them. They should beat them but when you put this together it should make one feel somewhat concerned. I kinda hope Chiefs play them again and beat the daylights out of them because I hate that team.

Weird as it sounds the 10 things that had to happen in the last 2 weeks to spring the chokeland Jailbirds are actually likely to happen.

I'm of course joking, I could see 9 of the 10 things happening then Oakland losing to the Donkeys.

The Chiefs got some bounces at Gillette a couple weeks ago, and you can bet Kraft and Belichick will be in the officials’ ears leading up to a potential rematch. Tom’s legacy is on the line don’t you know?
You really believe that Brady's legacy has anything to do with what happens this season? The Chiefs were lucky to get some of the calls they did in that game....even when they got out to a sizable lead, a hobbled Patriots team reeled them back in and the game should have gone to overtime. I wouldn't be too confident against ANY playoff team. To dismiss anyone in the playoffs is a sure recipe to get bitten in the ass.

Have you actually looked at Jackson's passing stats? 1st in touchdowns and quarterback rating.

Said it before and I will say it again. NFL wants Brady vs Jimmy G. That is the story line they want.

I don't know. Everyone is sick of seeing the Patriots in the Superbowl. Last year's Superbowl was possibly the most boring Superbowl ever and ratings were way down. I can't imagine that the league wants the Patriots anywhere near the Superbowl this year. I would think that they would want Jackson or Mahomes in there. That would drive a lot of excitement and high ratings. As far as storyline, a rematch of the first Superbowl in the NFL's 100th season would be a great storyline. Especially since Mahomes vs Rodgers didn't get to happen this year due to Mahomes being hurt.

Let's pretend that the NFL really is rigging games/seasons for effect.

If they really wanted the most exciting SB and interesting story lines they'd put the Saints (the team that had a SB trip literally stolen from them by the refs) in against the Chiefs (the AFC team should've been in the SB if not for a 'lined up off-sides' call); it provides the most prolific offenses AND the most interesting story lines:

Veteran HOF QB against the young gunslinger.

The Legion of Zoom vs. Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara.

Reid vs. Payton.

The two most explosive, innovative offenses from both conferences meeting on the field in a SB in forever.

Viola, instant excitement and interest in the SB, and probably highest potential viewership in decades. Years at least.

However you spin it, the Brady vs. Jimmy G. story pales in comparison.
