I could see nothing really new for this last week or so. Teachers that are not used to this need to learn what to do. But after that.....there has to be new content to meet standards that have not been taught.

I’m still at work but I’m dumbfounded by the amount of people that deem getting a marriage license or a passport as essential right now.

Stay the **** away from my office, assholes.

Apparently the school is still providing sack lunches. I'm not sure how that's going work infection-wise, but apparently that's the plan.
The sack lunch thing is an interesting idea. We have a fair amount of subsidized lunches in our district, so I like that there is at least that available to the kids. The challenge is getting some of the parents up off their duffs to at least take them in to pick up the food. They are doing it curbside here. You pull into the circle drive in front of the school, they bring out a sack meal(s) to you car...wash, rinse, repeat. Nobody is allowed to go in.

Work going as usual for us. We're deemed an essential service even though there's nothing essential about what we actually do.

All those jobs people said Americans wouldn't do?

Yeah, you're about to see Americans doing them.

If they're lucky...

Going on week two of working from home. My wife is also working from home, and the 6 year old is here too. Its been OK, obviously more distracted but I'm getting the work that needs to be done finished. A little worried about how much there will be to do this this goes beyond a month or so.

In my Engineering firm board position, the firm is deemed “essential” due to supplying components to large firms. In fact due to this, we have many more contracts (many of which are non-medical) as large firms are moving to lock down their suppliers.

In managing, my farms, again determined “essential’. Here,no shit. I’ve also seeing more contract offers (futures) to lock in the prices and supply of corn and soybeans from large food producers. I recently sold/delivered grain from many of my bins. Not my typical volume this time of year, when the fields are not producing. I like having more of a reserve in the bins. Who knew Tostitos was essential?
My 2 year old thinks tostitos are most certainly vital.

I normally look up parts online anyway, and give them the part #'s, makes everyones life easier.

Were still doing maintenance and repairs on equipment in my shed, too wet to think about any work in the fields. Normally we would be thinking about doing a "burndown" spray to kill weeds in fields we intend to plant in May, but the extended wet weather has put than on hold.
Wish you’d send some of that my way. We’re not too bad moisture wise but we don’t have a hell of a lot when it gets hot. And the forecast doesn’t seem too promising.

I still have a ****load of chemical that needed to go out 3 weeks ago though.

The JD dealers being open or not was a concern but they sent out an email answering this-again with the essential. These posted link guys in Mo. just underwent a winter re-organization/partnership so that added to the questions of procedures and availability. But, here we go is the bottom line-weather as you mentioned-but that’s a normal part of farming.

Yeah, Rady's is an amazing children's hospital. I have a few friends that work there, and I hear it provides a very high level of care for kiddos. You would never catch me working there though, I get too emotional helping sick kids. Probably a byproduct of being a dad.
