And the reason there is no consistency is because it’s totally subjective and refs make the judgement call between the hundreds of plays with smack talk and one that happened to cross the line, and then the nfl decides to throw the harshest penalty out there for a non spot foul.

Especially not on 4th down when you're about to get off the field in a huge spot.

Jones also took forever to get off of Ryan and was jawing the whole time. The refs saw it and were already primed to throw the flag.

Of course Ryan is going to jaw back. He wants Jones to flip out and get a stupid penalty. A veteran like Jones has to understand the situation and not act like an idiot.
