To answer the OP? Not bad for 65 yrs old, losing flexibility to old age and many many surgeries .

To Dart's pist, I'll never see my single handicap again due to the previous comment!

Now FTR, My short game is becoming a little more fluid, chipped 2 in yesterday for birdies in a scramble and putting is better.

I've seen you golf. You used to be able to knock the piss out of the ball.

You are a member there? Thats sick. Hear it is just an amazing place. That and Flint Hills. Those are always the top 2 courses in Kansas per almost any publication.

People have told me to just ram it in the hole which I can do on slow greens. I make alot more short putts on muni tracks cuz the greens are so slow. But if I try to ram in short putts on fast greens I end up lipping them out and getting some four putts. Also my hands shake on touch shots. My hands have always shook since I was a kid. If I hold a glass of water, I shake. Maybe I'll be Michael J Fox or something.

If you enjoy the game at a 24 handicap by all means keep playing, I just personally would struggle to enjoy it unless I was a sporadic player. Just open up some YouTube vids about swallowing your swing and Im sure that would help cut your handicap in half without even a ton of work. Eric Cogorno, Clay Ballard all very good. My point is alot of golfers just beat ball after ball and play without altering their swing expecting that will simply get them better and it doesn't usually work like that. Playing a ton of golf only does so much. I have a subpar swing so my ceiling is very low, and all the years when I was younger beating ball after ball did not do me any favors. It only ingrained a flawed swing further into my brain.

You can start with an hour for under $100 and they'll hook you up to sensors and match what you're doing with what you should be doing. Quite a few locations in the valley.
Best advice in entire thread. If you are new to golf and you think it may be something you are passionate about. Get lessons. Start out right, stay right. Don't develop the early release and downward chop swing that 95% of amateurs have.

Sorry if I misunderstood. It sure sounded like you were suggesting that anyone who plays regularly and has a cap above 12 should consider quitting the game.
