Apparently Hardman isn't doing to well.

[Rosenblatt] I’m starting to get the feeling that Randall Cobb will play a bigger role in this offense than expected. He’s been getting more reps with Aaron Rodgers than Mecole Hardman recently. #Jets

Corey Davis also retired today.

We're going to see this a lot with Mahomes & Reid. I mean, Justin Watson would get paid by someone if he were to hit the bricks right now, and it's for really no reason other than the quarterback and coach putting him in positions to succeed.

That's one of the reasons I'm not super worried about our WRs yet. They need time on the field to figure out their own roles and the coaches need time to figure out how to maximize them.

After this season, the Chiefs could probably bring Hardman back for 1 year, $2m.

Makes sense for both sides. Hardman would get badly needed playing time, and the Chiefs would finally get the Z they need.

Said it in the off-season - it made more sense for Hardman to figure out a way to make it work here than it would have to do anything but accept a long-term deal somewhere else.

If he were going to sign a 1 year deal, he should've come back here for cheap. A make-good contract made all the sense in the world for BOTH sides. He just ****ed up.

Pride screwed him.

I don't know how long it normally takes a player to learn the playbook, but it kind of seems like he should know 100% by now...

Hell, I wouldn't be shocked to see him released and back in a KC uniform by midseason, or us sending a low conditional pick for him if the guys we have keep struggling.

It's amazing that almost all of us could see the Jets were a horrible choice for Mecole, but he and his agent couldn't. He better be careful or he's going to end up out of the league. A guy like him needs a system that can get the best out of him, which is what he had here.

I still wonder if KC even made an effort to resign him. If they offered anything close to what the Jets did and he still left, man, what a stupid decision.

14 snaps=29.8% of their total offensive snaps. So they ran 46 offensive snaps in an entire game?

i mean, I'm not sure that's hardman's fault, at all.

Hardman's too far down the depth chart to play snaps with Zach Wilson.

His best chance is playing time with Tim Boyle.

His troubles started well before Wilson was forced back into the starter role.

Yeah, there was a presser with Hardman shortly after signing with NYJ in which he said that he wasn’t aware of the Chiefs making any offer.

He could have been protecting his pride by not mentioning a “lowball” offer but I’d take him at face value on that one.

I’ll try to find the clip..
