It’s Christmas movie season so let’s see which is the best. Nominate Christmas movies here and we will have a head to head tournament to determine which movie can achieve the honor of best Christmas movie according to CP.

I’ll seed them based on domestic box office and adjust for inflation. Go!

I would argue that "Somewhere in my Memory" from Home Alone entering the zeitgeist as a Christmas is pretty conclusive at making that one a Christmas movie.

I honestly don't know enough about Die Hard to have an opinion. It's probably blasphemous to some, but I'm not even entirely sure I've seen it. If I have, it's been decades.

I watch “Serendipity” every holiday season. It may or may not be a “Christmas movie” by all standards… but I don’t really need an excuse to soak in 90 minutes of Kate Beckinsale. That’s a Christmas present to myself. (Nice soundtrack as well.)

The 4th Die Hard did take place over the 4th of July, and I nor anyone I know considers it a 4th of July movie.

For that matter, no one really counts Die Hard 2 has a Christmas movie, even though it takes place over Christmas like the first. Of course, that could just be because no one really counts Die Hard 2 at all…

The first movie, it’s as much a Christmas movie as the other two mentioned aren’t holiday movies.

If "It's a Wonderful Life" is a Christmas movie, does that not make "Click" one too considering it's Sandler's take on the former except the plot contrivance moves in the opposite direction?

Agreed. Christmas isn't a part of the movie at all until the last few minutes. It's actually easier to make a case that Die Hard and Lethal Weapon are Christmas movies. Not that it matters. Lol
