Off-season WR possibilities

Seeing a lot of teams with sub .500 records with WRs that need to get with Mahomes.

Who is available and who would you like to see us pursue to go with Rice and Watson.

Knowing what we know of Ceach and his horrendous receiver record. I fully expect him to overpay for another shitty receiver who doesn’t fit this offense.

Just freaking mortgage the future to get into the top 15 to draft a cant miss prospect at receiver. Over wasting day 2 picks on dog shit for Mahomes to throw to.

I don't know, he also has to fix what is shaping up to be a pretty terrible DT room if Jones walks and figure out the LT situation. Morris didn't look very good today. We'll see what he looks like next week.

Baltimore would have to move some money to tag Madibuike. If he hits the market, maybe Veach will pounce there instead of spending big at WR.

Even then, I think you're onto something because spending big at WR would mean getting a WR that doesn't fit the offense very well. Evans, Higgins, and Pittman all kind of go against what Reid normally does and they look to be the bigger ticket guys.

San Diego ownership wants Keenan Allen to retire a charger, which means Mike Williams is probably gonna be available. He's coming off an ACL but you can probably get him for a slight discount due to that. His game has never been predicated on speed anyway so that's probably not an issue.

Trade: Jaylen Waddle
Draft: Xavier Worthy

Roster:

WR1: Waddle
WR2: Rice
WR3: Worthy
WR4: Watson
WR5: Ross
WR6: Toney (returner, jet sweep guy)

If Waddle price tag is too steep, sign Mike Evans or Michael Pittman Jr. instead (preferably Evans). We need a burner and Waddle and/or Worthy would help a great deal. I don't think both is a pipe dream.

What incentive do the Dolphins have to trade Waddle? He's an essential piece of a killer WR group and is cost-controlled for two more years (8m next year and his option will be about 15m). Trading him only saves them about 4m. He's worth keeping for that, no matter their cap situation. If I'm guessing, they'll try to fix their cap by extending Tua, restructuring Chubb, and cutting Ogbah and Baker loose, then trading Ramsey for a soda and popcorn if they can.

The Browns might try to trade Amari Cooper and the 49ers might do well to move Brandon Aiyuk.

Cooper might come relatively cheap given he's going on 30, has 20m per for the next 2 years, and the Browns don't save any more by cutting him versus trading him. Cleveland doesn't have much draft capital this year (a 2, 3, 5, and 6 with all being late picks) so they may take whatever capital they can get within reason. Throwing a 3rd at them might be a decent short-term investment.

The 49ers will be a curious case to watch. They could cut Arik Armstead or Trent Williams with a June 1 designation or they could trade Aiyuk to give themselves some cap relief. Hell, they could do any combination of the 3 depending on how much they want to reload. They may opt to trade Aiyuk for a 1st rounder and then try to move for a LT to replace Williams and cut him loose. Not ideal for KC to trade a 1 and pay a WR when this draft sets them up well just to draft one in the 1st if they want.

I actually think Veach will try and swing with a big trade….who that is, I don’t know.

The FA crop just doesn’t do a ton for me…I think this team needs an alpha #1 WR and I don’t see it with the FAs. I do see guys who would be great complimentary pieces and who I’d be really intrigued by if we did get that #1 but I don’t know….

For the record, I think Higgins gets tagged so I’m not even really considering him. Even if the Bengals tag and trade him, not a chance they trade him to us.

-Sign Evans to a short contract.

-Julio Jones type of trade up for Harrison jr. Give multiple 1st rounders plus more.

Evans, Harrison and Rice

Finally having a top5 defense after spending 1st rounders on the D side is great but it’s obviously not what wins us games. Gives up multiple 1st rounders for Harrison jr, kid is being graded out as the top wr to ever come out of college, is worth it even if it means a couple of years of no 1st rounders.

I could see Evans as a short term alpha

Mvs cannot get open.

He and Kelce both have horrendous agility. We are probably the least agile offense in all of football rn

Dolphins are #1

Agility is crucial for getting open vs man.

I remember reading somewhere that it was Toub that was banging the drum for kc to draft Tyreek hills. Saying he was most explosive returner he’s ever scouted.

Can he head our draft team so we can get some explosive wrs

Someone needs to step up and replace Kelce. That replacement needs to be a long term solution. Not a near brokedick bandaid. Or you're going through this all again, way too soon.
