Alex Smith: Chief's aren't running a "Cookie-cutter" offense

Q? FO!

From NFLNetwork byline:

QB Alex Smith tells NFL Total Access that Chiefs aren't running "cookie-cutter" offense and it isn't the same as what coach Andy Reid ran with Eagles and Packers. Catch the entire interview tonight at 7PM ET on NFL Total Access.

That said, I think Smith is better than Cassel, but up to this point, yes, their numbers aren't much different.
I do understand that completely. I really do. And I understand the skepticism amongst people here. hell, Alex Smith, with the first pick in the draft, is the worst case scenario. I get that. My style is to try to find the positives in everything. And try to be realistic with it as well.....

I understand this could all go to shit, and you could be starting all over in 3 years. I do not hope that for you guys. I genuinely like Alex Smith, THE PERSON, so I pull for him as a football player. Nothing more, but I understand his limitations.

Thats good for you.

But we, as Chiefs fans, have found over the past...well since I can remember, that when it involves the Chiefs, there usually aren't any positives.

Hopefully times are changing.

That's good for me? Im probably the one person on this board, that can empathize and out woe is me. Do you see who is in my avatar?

I watched my grandfather break down when he watched his team being taken away, and he died before they came back... I was at his house when John Elway crushed his soul. The Browns are the laughing stock of the entire league. Trust me, I get what is going on with Chiefs fans. maybe that is why I don't troll, and am actually trying to give reasons to find hope.....

BUt, that doesn't mean I don't understand what you are going through. No one should be miserable in JULY lol

Exactly.

So you can see how had the Chiefs traded Matt Cassel after 2010 to the Browns for 2 2nd round picks, there might have been some who questioned it.

Seriously? I watched the Browns get duped by Derek Anderson, then Draft Brady Quinn. Do you remember him?

Lol, we have had starters with the name Spergon Wynn, I have seen an entire FAN BASE EMBRACE KELLY HOLCOMB. TRENT DILFER WAS CONSIDERED OUR SAVIOR.........CHARLIE FRYE, TIM COUCH........dude, the list......is LONGGGGGGGGGGGG

Bro, you really wanna go this route with me?

Oh, and by the way, your team doesn't draft qbs in the first round. My TEAM DRAFTS SENIOR CITIZEN QBS IN THE FIRST ROUND. MY QB IS A SECOND YEAR PLAYER, HES OLDER THAN ALEX SMITH!!!!!! We gave up Julio Jones, TO GET BRANDON ****ING WEEDEN.........

Meh, thats rough, but IMO, thats more on the organization. They're doing in the right, way, they just can't develop a QB for shit.

However, I think with the coaching staff you have in place now, things will change.

Is this where I should tell you how you don't understand what is going on, and you have no idea what its like to be a browns fan?

However, I completely agree with you. I love what our organization has done, besides our owner commiting felonies lol.

Sure I guess.

I think the Browns have a good roster, but until they actually show they can develop someone at the QB position, they're jsut not good enough in that division and likely never will be.

Chud made Derek Anderson, and Cam Newton Pro Bowlers. We have Norv, who is going to use TRENT first,, and utilize the shot gun and deep ball for Weeden. I think they are going to surprise a lot of people this year. The division is in a state of flux right now. They have to make noise this year....
