Superman/Batman movie coming in 2016

The move marks the culmination of years of effort on the part of Warner Bros. and DC Comics to bring their superheroes together in a similar fashion to their primary competitor Marvel, which successfully combined its superheroes into a $1.5-billion box-office hit with “The Avengers.”

In the comic world, the two heroes are teaming up in a new series, “Batman/Superman,” by writer Greg Pak and artist Jae Lee.

Deadpool looks better and better, while this looks worse and worse. It will be interesting to compare the movies v. trailers for these two once both have come out.

I think going dark with Batman is fine because he's a dark character.

The problem is the whole movie being dark. This seems targeted to 40 year old nerds like myself and not the kids of said 40 year old nerds.

8-14 year old kids could watch the Marvel movies. Those same kids want to see a good Superman and not "watch him bleed."

I almost feel like this has to be a giant misdirection.

If not, I actually feel sorry for Affleck and Cavill.

Sidenote: I put on The Man from U.N.C.L.E the other night for parents while I'm visiting, and the film and Cavill in it are both very good.

The new trailer makes it look a little bit better. I'll still see it because I've always loved Superman.
