Ahh yeah. Must be nice. I used to naturally have that build... then I spent the last 15 years putting on weight. Now I'm trying to get back to that lean build again. 5 lbs. from goal.

Awesome workout today. Did my weight lifting routine and then 30 solid minutes on the elliptical.
I actually bumped that bad boy up to level 17 for the whole thing today. I don't really believe I burn as many calories as it says that I do, but it's an awesome feeling knowing in January I was burning 17 calories a minute on there, and now in the middle of March and 35lbs lighter, I'm burning over 22. Regardless of how much I'm actually burning, it's good to see some measurable form of all that hard work. |

In my experience, people have to gain far less weight than they think they do to look good. There's only so much muscle you can put on naturally, and after that, it's all just fat. 1-2 lbs in the right places makes all the difference in the world. I prefer aiming for those kinds of goals instead of a specific weight. I tried the weight goal, and ended up way too big and bulky, and it wasn't all muscle. Yuck. |

Took some updated pics today. This thread inspired me. The lighting everywhere in my house sucks. It's either too bright, or too dark. Couldn't find the right place, even though I tried a couple of different ways. Blah. Updated pics.

It's from playing soccer so much, because you really rely on the obliques for hip turning and body positioning. Oh well. Not much I can really do about it, I suppose. Genetics are a bitch sometimes. |

Thanks. I to avoid things with lower back flexion, though. So I do the side planks, but I don't come down with them because they curve the back a lot. Same with back extensions. No bueno for me. I don't think I'll ever be able to really flatten them out, though, simply because of how much soccer play I. I'm a defender, so you spot up on the guy, and are constantly turning your hips while keeping the upper body relatively straight ahead. Puts a lot of pressure on the obliques, and they just get bigger and bigger because you work them so much.
