OK but do you see how the waters were muddied? I did the sales gig and entertained to the tune that when I walked into Bristol on the plaza I was called my nickname. Been there sold that. So we both understand what I mean by muddying the waters?
I do know quite a bit about Japanese/ US beef crosses. The reason I am not a rancher now is because of the smoke and mirrors of marketing a new "strain" of beef. I hate to tell you but it costs less to raise a Wagyu cross than regular cattle but marketing and access to the genes have made it expensive. Ranchers are getting paid more while it costs less to raise Wagyu crosses or even pure breeds. Do you understand what Alexander's did? You thought that you understood that it would say F1 if it were a non land planted Japanese piece of meat. Then they sell you a steak that was actually raised in NE. And it's more than you said.... I am going to let somethings slide but do you see the apples vs oranges comparison going on here? an Oldsmobile used to be an Oldsmobile until they stuck Chevy engines in them... People rebelled and Olds took a big hit. Hopefully we now have some common ground. Back to my guests... Quote:

No I get it and that’s why I am interested in in the opinions I asked about. I don’t think anyone that goes in Alexander’s realizes that tomahawk labeled Imerial Waygu Beef nested in the middle of at least what they called Wagyu from Japan is different. It does conveniently not have the label of country origin.
I would be interested in the authenticity of the rest of their menu both from Japan and Australia. Beyond that I am interested in occasionally enjoying top quality steaks so I do want to know in your opinion where that is in KC and perhaps locations elsewhere both from a restaurant perspective and purchase over the counter. |

If you would have read, oops sorry, comprehended what I posted that showed the different "F" grades and my referral to the Majestic, then you would see I answered his questions. I even posted the menu with the info on the brand he asked about.
Do I have to give him a walkout basement too?

I don’t have time for your ignorant comments or bullshit. Hopefully not how you treat others around here.
You should probably watch your mouth and learn a little courtesy before your mouth writes a check you can’t cash. Maybe you can do that while your out googling since you can’t be a rancher. BTW getting called your name or your nickname at Bristol is not an accomplishment. |

I curse the day I opened this post and read about waygu beef for the first time. It sounds like rich prick meat I will continue to buy cheap cuts of beef smoke it into something tender and delicious. Besides you guys can feast on radio active three eyed glowing beef cows since 1945

Welp between this thread turning into a big argument shit show. How about we list places we've had Wagyu and what the price was so we know where to find it?
1) Stockhill - Kansas City about $60 during restaurant week 2) Final Cut at Hollywood Casino, Tomahawk cut - $55 not including sides 3) McGills Steakhouse in Hard Rock Casino Tulsa - $88
