Kansas Football is going to go 10-2

Yeah, you heard me right. Look at this schedule, it is ridiculously easy. How glorious, KU should be able to sleep walk to 8-4. If they get lucky and play well 10 and 2 is not out of the realm of possibilities. Last year, KU was better than their record. They went 6-6 and lost just about every game by about 2-3 points.

Central Michigan
-WIN 27-17
SE Lousiana
-WIN 49-10
Toledo
-WIN 34-24
Florida International
-WIN 34-17
at Kansas State
-WIN 17-14
Baylor
-WIN 24-13
at Colorado
-WIN 17-14
at Texas A&M
-10-93 LOSS
Nebraska
-0-63 LOSS
at Oklahoma State
-WIN 31-28
Iowa State
-WIN 21-10
Missouri
-WIN 24-21 OT

KU could potentially be 7-0 going into the Texas A&M game before they get whacked, haha. Glorious.

I think it is impossible for anyone to say how good KU is or isn't. They've played nobody and pounded them like they should have if they are any kind of BCS team.

I hope they do well this year, but I really hope that this weekend is one of the losses in this whole KU dream 10-2 season. If I where a KU fan I'd be happy to have a winning record in the Big 12 for the first time under Mangino. Or for starters get a road win in the Big 12 which has eluded them for the past five years.

10-2 would be a huge jump for KU and I'm not sure how or why they would all of a sudden expect that to happen (other than the patty cake schedule), but if it does I say congrats on a huge turnaround in one year. That would be unprecedented after five plus years of Big 12 losing, but after looking at the schedule it could happen without them being hardly any better than they have been in the past when they where consistent losers. If this was college basketball the KU RPI would be at the bottom of the entire BCS. If they go 10-2 we still might not know how good or bad they are until the Big 12 Championship Game.

I don't know if UT is really that down, but it looks like the Big12 North can at least claim some respectability.

Colorado looks better than expected. NU won by 1 at home to Ball St after a missed FG at the end of the game.

KU has played an easy schedule and the hope is that they have put those teams away just like good teams do.

I think the K-state game may be KU's toughest this season for KU.

By the way- anyone notice that KU is till getting more votes for the coaches top 25 than KSU. KU would be 28 (48 votes) KSU 31 (33 votes).

A moral ranking?

I think KSU actually cracked the top 25 in the AP.

I know KSU cracked the top 25 in the AP. They deserve it after their play at UT.

It's not a moral victory. The game will be played on Saturday. I just thought it was an interesting point to raise.

Do you give the AP or coaches poll more credibility, and why?

I don't think either poll has more credibility than the other, they are just polls.

One point that is brought up w/ the coaches poll is that coaches are usually coaching games on Saturdays, not watching other teams play. Lots of conference bias, usually.

Look at all the other polls and you will see KSU is ranked higher than KU in all cases except the Coaches. (harris, master coach, sagarin, etc.)

I stand corrected.....they are 2-19. I always mix up whether they've never won a road game or finished with a winning record. Regardless though it was my bad, and I should research stats a little better. When it gets to degrees of bad it gets kind of muddled up in my head.

As far as polls go I think they are all a joke, which is why we need a playoff system in college football. When you look at them they don't make any sense at all sometimes, and unfortunately this is what decides who finishes where. Polls are just another degrees of bad thing.

How generous to credit K-State for being tougher then the likes of Central Michigan and SE Louisiana.
