He has looked pretty good. BTW- What's the word on Nunez?

It's always good to take the season series against the cross-state team. Doesn't happen for us often. The sweep was just an extra plus this year.

Good game, guys. Broke our string of winning series at 4.

Minor scoring note, the little MLB.com gameday score does not give Russ Springer a hold, but I believe that is just flat-out wrong. He took the ball from the winner up 3 and got a strikeout. There is nothing vague or questionable about that, unless the scorer thinks he was "ineffective".
I assume the computer has some code buried in it to prevent it from showing a hold for a pitcher who enters before the 6th inning, maybe thinking that pitcher would probably figure in the W or L. There's nothing in the save/hold rules saying you must enter the game after the 5th.

LaRue still sucks, bannister sucks even more for giving up a HR and gathright decides to play his worst CF of the year when he comes up for that "triple"....our defense, pitching and LOB killed us, the cards gave us plenty of chances
oh well gotta keep winning, won the series overall. |

**** the Cards, **** St. Louis, **** all the wanna-be Cards fans at the K. It took our lousiest two pitchers and some shitty d to get the last two from us. We got the season series and I am happy. You got whipped by a last place team. Have a nice day and **** you next year
