How do you feel now about Sanchez and Freeman at QB?
Suppose the Chiefs would have drafted either of these guys instead of aquiring Cassel. Would they have a better record right now? Are Sanchez or Freeman truly the type of "transcendent" QB talent to will a team to victory? They are probably better than Cassel, but "how much" better?

I could see Freeman winning a Superbowl in the near future, with him. We'd be 2-2 at worst and probably 3-1 and a possibility of dare I say it, winning a playoff game.

Freeman is still a work in progress. I wouldn't call him a franchise QB yet. The same with Sanchez but both are growing. I don't think Sanchez will ever have it but to be fair he's still young. I would be more excited to have Freeman as my QB (I wouldn't choose him over any of the franchise QBs though) if I didn't have a choice over Sanchez.

Sanchez is hot garbage.

Freeman is legit.

I'd be damn happy with our team right now with Freeman; with Sanchez I'd still have more hope than I do with Cassel, but not too much more.

How is my mediocre assessment of Freeman off base? He's not a top QB right now. He may be in the future but that has yet to be seen. The fact that you would take Freeman over Rivers just shows how much you overrate Freeman.

Fact of the matter is, Nearly half the starting Qurterbacks in the NFL now, wouldn't start 10-15 years ago. None of these guys compare to the Young, Montana, Aikman, Farve, Elway, and Marinos' at these stages in their careers.
Serious, drought of talent in the position now a days. IMHO.

He is a top qb right now, it's just too early in his development for you apparently to recognize it. The trick is to pick the horse before he runs the race.

Rivers has got skill and ability through the roof no doubt, but I've yet to see evidence that he's a gamer and he loses his cool too often.

The other QBs in the league didn't compare to them at that time, either.

I'd put the top 5 or 6 of now up against those guys any day.
