If the DR's and medical staff say it's not at risk and he's good to go, why hold him out longer?

If I have a Ferrari in the garage and it's good to drive, i'm gonna drive the mother ****er.

What is our record against those teams since Mahomes became our starting QB?

I'm fine with bringing him back if the risk is felt to be pretty low, but as I understand it, the risk will continue to decline as time passes. I haven't heard anyone say that there is no risk.

There will never be a time in Mahomes life that he steps on an NFL field that there is no risk.

If it would only go down to no risk with surgery, would you be ok with that?

Sure, but (making numbers up) if the risk is 10% this week, 5% next, and 1% after the bye, you have to weight it in your thinking. Again, I'm fine with him playing, but you have to keep in mind that the risk is OUR SUPER BOWL CHANCES ARE OVER if you risk it and lose.

Is it really so hard to understand that lower risk is better than higher risk even if low risk is not no risk?

Stafford had the same injury, was out 3 weeks, (Pat will have been out 3.5) hasn't had a reinjury and hasn't missed a game in years.

This shit is being so overblown its ridiculous.

I understand your point and it is a good one. However, we don't know how much is the risk. It could be 5%. Or 2%. We just don't know. And I haven't heard anyone with the team give us a figure on that.

But just for fun, let's do a hypothetical.

Let's say that his risk for reinjuring it this week is 5%. But if we wait a week, it goes down to 3%. If we wait 2 weeks, it goes down to 2% and that's as low as it will ever be this season. What do you do? What if he doesn't play and that loss causes us to not get a first round bye? What if he does play and we win? A lot of variables, for sure.

If there were a "right" answer to that question, we wouldn't be having this discussion. All I have to go on is this:

So that's the question. If there is a 1 in 10 chance that our Super Bowl hopes are over this week if Mahomes plays, do you play him?

I just personally think that we'll almost certainly win with Moore, so I'm not all that concerned about it either way.

Which would you rather have?

1. No first round bye with Mahomes as our QB.
2. First round bye with Moore as our QB.

Again, I just think the piece that some of you guys are missing is that, while the risk is low, the consequences are devastating.
