But not all drops are created equal. I think you'd have to do an in depth analysis of the drops to really draw a conclusion there.

Whats more exciting than having the Draft in KC than TWO 1st round picks!
Just not the right year for that sort of thing, IMO.

Hold your wad, fellas. This kind of WR exists in the late 20s/early 30s every single season. This isn't some uniquely stellar draft class where WRs are being pushed down by a bevy of talented alternatives.

It's just a class with flaws. The biggest guy plays small. The quickest guy IS small. The best route runners have athletic limitations. The guy most assumed to make the leap to a top 10 pick (Addison) appeared to plateau the season prior.

There's just no reason to go nuts pushing for any one of these guys.

Same. He's my guy at WR in this draft. Said several times I think he'll end up being the best WR in this class. Pretty sure we'd have to move up to get him though.

For the Addison guys, I've gotta know why I should ignore the fact that he fell off 700 yards from his sophomore season despite having Caleb Williams throwing him the ball in a Lincoln Riley offense? For the JSN guys - why should I believe he can stay healthy moving up a level? Johnston stans - what's the standout trait here for someone that sure doesn't appear that explosive and plays smaller than he is.

The least glaring warts come from Flowers but man, he's just small. Sure, maybe he's Jaylon Waddle. He could also just be Jalen Nailor. Catch radius is a big deal and for everyone that wants to say 'who cares about his size if he gets open' - that's the same thing y'all said about Moore last season.

There just isn't a sure thing in this draft at WR. It's short about 2-3 blue-chip sort of WRs to even get to an ordinary WR draft class. But it has some decent depth - so rather than trying to trade up to plow more capital into the position in a year that it simply isn't that great, wouldn't we be far better served keeping our powder dry?

If he goes to NE no, Mac Jones mixed with Belichick will ruin him.

Because Pittsburgh literally singled him up as "the playmaker" and did everything they possibly could to get him the ball as much as possible, he got Kenny Pickett drafted in the first round.

At USC he was more just one of the options, he never was singled out to be the dude the way he was at Pitt. And he showed he is a very good player in both roles. At Pitt he was the playmaker at USC he was the reliable route runner that created separation and did what was asked of him.

It's actually a plus he's done both those roles and been good at both.

I largely agree with this post, 'cept for Zay Flowers. He's the anti-Johnston. Small guy who plays big. Im not all that worried.

Like I said - y'all did this shit with Skyy Moore last season.

It's the exact same song as last season only now you're calling to trade up for the guy.

Ok whoever did that was dumb, Moore never had any of the route running or quick twitch stuff Flowers has.

Johnston isn't explosive?

Dude had a 40.5" vert and 11'2" broad jump. His explosiveness is elite, and it's why he's so good after the catch.

How is going for 850 yards a demonstration that you're 'good at both'?

That's JAG shit for a guy many are calling the best WR prospect in the draft.

He demonstrated he won't quit on the team when he's not getting volume - good for him. He also had every opportunity to earn more targets in the offense with a premier player throwing him the football. He didn't.

To be fair I said it looks like the Chiefs want to trade up for a WR. I didn’t say I wanted them to.
