According to sources, this film needs to hit $800 million to break even.

They've spent 400+ million on advertising? That's insane if true.
I think I read somewhere last night while I was being insomniac that a 300+ million international opening is projected this weekend. Unless I hallucinated that. |

Wow. I hope the standalone Batman gets higher ratings and the future justice league movies. I'm hoping this atleast springboards those movies to do better

Everything I've read indicates near universal belief that Suicide Squad will be a huge hit. But who knows. It's supposed to be more like Guardians or Deadpool than Snyder.

Suicide squad might be a better movie, I don't know if you can call it a guaranteed hit though.

But keep in mind, the exhibitors receive a larger chunk of the box office receipts and receive a higher percentage the longer it runs in theaters. I'll be surprised if, based on the reviews, the movie is a "winner" for WB. |

So pretty much everything Snyder touches? He is a slightly better story teller than Michael Bay, and uses massive CGI effects just as heavily. He is a hack and each of his films is a bore covered in glossy CGI.
