****Official Golf Thread****

The original Bushwood thread is overflowing like Craig Stadler's FUPA.

Use this thread to discuss tournaments, swing thoughts, equipment, and golf deals.

I thought we could also use the OP to create a WITB for ChiefsPlanet members. I'll list a poster's name and put their sticks in a spoiler tag, so you can see what everyone is carrying.

Tee off @ 9:30 playing with my sister and some members we met through the MO HOF who were kind enough to invite us to play. Rain will probably hit about that time but thanks. I'll be wearing a red shirt since it's Red Friday.

You didn't see a middle aged guy in a red shirt? Only got to play 9 holes as our host had to leave town by 2:30 and we were slow. We were a mixed foursome so it stands to reason. The greens weren't bad they have just been punched. It was like Chinese Checkers. Still a great place.

I gave golf a solid try for about 3 years after my first motorcycle crash. took a few lessons, played probably 3-4 times a month during the warm months etc. Just never got it, in terms of being even remotely consistent. I enjoyed it though most of the time, but usually by the end of the round, I was just wore out from being frustrated and $30-50 lighter in the pocket book.

wish I developed just a tiny bit, I think I would still be playing. haven't played since probably 2009. Alot of my buddies play, so I wish I was more into it to hang with them etc.

Like with anchors and stuff on it? I didn't play to well but it was more social golf I guess. Not good at that. I birdied #1 and #8 but besides that my heart just wasn't in it. We sat outside after the 9 and had some buffalo chicken dip and cocktails. Overall it was a good day.

Checked this place out Saturday and they gave me a tour. Very, very nice and saw a couple of well known people while onsite.

$95,000 to join and $695 a month in dues.

Wish I had that kind of money..........

I'm flying out to Vegas tomorrow morning for a golf tournament. I'll be playing Fri, Sat, Sun at TPC Las Vegas (Fri is a practice round). I've been to Vegas more times than I can count, but never have played golf there. I'm super excited and can't wait to get there.

Read all about it here:

I can crush my drives and long irons. Get a little shaky with my short irons. Most usually a two putt. Luckily the further away i am the straighter i approach.

Have great time Dart

I can't even crush the ball anymore. My back is so ****ed up I can't get through it enough to get the distance I want. An amazing drive for me is 250 yards. I'm generally somewhere around 230 yards. It sucks, but it's what I am at this point.

My 15 year old just pisses on the ball. He regularly hits it 280+. He's limber like a rubber band. Hell, he hits his 4 iron about the same distance I drive the ball
