*****Official 2025 Royals Season Repository Thread*****

Coming off an American League Divisional Series appearance, its year 3 of Matt Quatraro tenure. Can they take the next step to a division title? Can Bobby Witt, Jr. take his superstar status to another level? Can Cole Ragans develop more? Will the other starting pitching duplicate last season? The offense can it deliver more? Who will be in the outfield? How about the new stadium development?

I'm thinking around 2027 season, year before he hits free agency. I don't see Vinnie as a long term pay and I think he won't age the best. Lets get some of his best WAR years and sell high.

Do our scouts just suck ass at finding anyone that can hit? I get it is a crapshoot, but you would think they would get lucky every once in awhile. Some of these losers need to move on.

Uh the Royals farm system has been very lowly rated for a long time, even when Witt was in it, it wasn't a top 10 system. When you draft like shit for a period of time it takes a long ass time to fix that..

If anyone cares I watched two ABs of Melendez because I was watching Cags on Ballys Live. I can confirm it appears he has reverted back to his flamingo kick. He has been hitting better in AAA recently. Not sure when he changed back.

Man, Bobby is in an all time slump for him. Only hitting .250 in May with a .786 OPS. I mean that'd be good for pretty much everyone else on the team, but for him it's a slump.

Without digging into the analytics just a guess I would say our biggest reason the offense isn't doing much is they aren't taking walks. Vinny seems not to walk much this year. If they aren't being patient and wait for pitches, then that would suggest the barrel rate would be down as well.
