According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Why did YOU not mention volume in your own posted formula you still don't understand?

Is it possible that the colts and pats scrubbing or treatment of the balls or the rain water affected VOLUME which you conveniently ignore?

Footballs wouldn't be noticeable at all. Either you are stretching the bladder by twenty percent to decrease pressure proportionately (Boyles Law), or you are letting out 20 percent of the gas.

In which case, the footballs they used were not intentionally deflated, but actually those same footballs... in the future.
