This is a franchise that has made the postseason 10 times in the last 14 seasons.
Reached three World Series in the last decade, and won as many championships (two) the past eight seasons as it did from 1965 to 2005.

Three million attendance? Take it to the bank.

I don't really hate them anymore, especially given how incompetently they are constructed.

That was a terrible ****ing baseball team. It just so happens that Mike Matheny, Wong, Choate, and the ump were terribler.

I've enjoyed their collapse, still couldn't get over my hate for them though. The mid to late 90's is when I loathed them.

I don't get the defensive switchs. Not talking about today. But late innings. Matheny switched out Freese all the time late, even takes Holliday out late in games for defense. But Jay stays and Bourjos rides the pine? Does he think Jay and Bourjos are equals defensively?

Matheny has cost this team at least 3-4 games already this year. It's really becoming ridiculous.

Why are you dissing on Wong? If everyone was performing at his level, we'd have the lineup of a modern day version of the 27 Yankees.

In the 8 games Wong has started since getting the call, he has:

12 hits
3 doubles
3 walks
4 stolen bases (would have had another if he didn't slide past the bag)
5 runs
5 RBI
4 strikeouts in 38 PA

Wong was not good yesterday, and he looks like a goddamned fool against LHP.

It wasn't an indictment of him since the call-up, but yesterday. However, he should not be hitting #2. He needs to be in the #7 hole with Peralta hitting second.
