Clark Hunt: Hatchet Man is a little overblown, IMO.

They cut Hunt because he was a RB and I don't think they care that much. They held onto Hill like grim death until quite some time later evidence started to emerge because he was a superstar they needed at that time.

I think ultimately Clark and the team will be careful what questions they ask and they'll be fairly lax about how strictly they read the answers. Because ultimately all you need is the belief that you're some strict disciplinarian with your players and Hunt provided him with that shield. Hunt was a fairly fungible head on a stick that lets you get away with being a little less of a stickler when it's someone like Rice.

Kareem died so that Rice could live.

Clark also probably learned from the Hunt situation when he was picked up by the Browns after getting cut. He won't make the same mistake with Rice.

So Rice wasn’t there and instead of just saying so at any point in the last 48 hours he is just what, enjoying the speculation?

The legal sleuths are acting like there will be a tontine like in the Simpsons season 7, episode 22.

Rice will have to be candid about who was driving with his lawyers and his insurer if he wants his insurance coverage to provide most of the money for any liability. And he will have to be candid with Chiefs and NFL.

There is a James Cagney movie titled, Never Steal Anything Small.

If Rice shows a lack of candor from today forward he would be screwing himself big time to avoid manageable consequences.

If the medical bills and property damage are within policy limits, there is nothing much to gain with clamming up over something like this.

Rice needs to follow, "Don't be an asshole." and him not being truthful will be worse than the racing and the crash.

This has to be an April Fool's Day joke. I could not make this argument to the jury with a straight face:

"Ladies and gentlemen, my client did not leave the scene of an accident because he WALKED away. He didn't drive way. He didn't fail to render aid. He saw that no one needed aid so he just strolled away."

I'd get laughed out of court.

I fully admit I'm not licensed in Texas but generally the law imposes a duty to remain on the scene in the event of an accident. The method and mode of your departure from the scene of an accident is not a defense. If they had touched bumpers, pulled over to look at the damage and both decided that there was no harm and no foul and went their merry way, fine. But if you do enough damage that the vehicles are no longer operable, even if it doesn't appear that anybody is hurt, you need to stay on the scene until the cops come and you give them your relevant info.

This thread may have the all time stupidly content on my years on this forum.

That's truly saying something.

I’m not saying he is not there. I’m just saying from everything we have seen it might be harder identifying Rice than who was driving the SUV.
