Now, if Mahomes becomes as good as many including myself think he could be, it's a whole new level for the Chiefs. The offense could become something it hasn't been in nearly 15 years.
I honestly dont see our guys being quite as dynamic as Atlantas duo

But what our guys lack in explosiveness, they should be be able to make up for with with a grinding, wear you down, kill the clock style... provided Ehingers return is the cure for what ailed us last year

What Alex Smith brings this year, I have no clue... tempted to expect the same old shit because thats how he has mostly played for his entire career

But maybe, just maybe, the writing on the wall spurs him to reach outside of himself and he tries to MAKE plays for once... 'good' Smiff can approach dynamic, we'll see

The pressure will either make him wilt, or make him show off

If he decides to grab his balls, we could have a great year

Idk what's better when Smith is finally gone. Getting rid of Alex or getting rid of these obvious trolls who don't know or understand football at all. It's really weird to me that people can be so much of a fan of one single player that they become fans of the team that player goes too. Not only that but find and post on a message board to troll long time die hard fans.

spin dat shit, homeboy!

This has happened all season. People call it as they see it during the games... and then revert right back to where they WANT to put the blame.

... and there IS blame, mind you. I have both said Smith isn't playing well enough to carry the team AND that he has missed opportunities that make me comfortable about him leaving soon.

.. just saying.

You are wildly off the mark about everything you just stated. You have the power to get rid of me right now by just putting me on ignore if you are that butthurt about a point being made that flies over your empty head.

The best will probably be still being 'mediocre' just in a different, equally infuriating, way.

My thread of hope is Dorsey and Reid being infinitely smarter than the fanbase.

It's the fact that you refuse to see the plays as they are. Fact Alex throws to Hill on one of those plays and we win the game. Alex Smith has one read and then he turns to run, and usually he was pretty good at running this year though he ran straight into pressure. When he gets time to throw he makes one read it's not there he puts his head down and runs for two yards. It's absolutely asinine that a starting QB in the NFL can't make more then one read.

I actually wholeheartedly disagree with you that gameday thread posts have more accurately thought out than posts later on. This has ZERO to do with Alex Smith or whoever. It has to do with the fact that fans watching a game are incredibly emotional. Far more emotional than ____ time later, when they have had a chance to rewatch the game/watch highlights/analyze statistics/etc.

People are far more calm after a game than during it.

Spin the fact that we have gif after gif of wide open receivers down the field that Alex continually misses while having good protection.

Spin that shit yo.

This was a 2-point game, and though Roethlisberger wasn't great, he made one big deep throw to get the Steelers a field goal at one point.

Smith had two chances to hit Tyreek deep and didn't even throw the ball once. The Chiefs got zero points off those drives.

He made 0 deep throws. The Chiefs got 0 wins.

They are more emotional, and there are plays that need more scrutiny that can be poorly interpreted.

... but mostly, no. People calm down and forget the areas that they bitch at all game long... the "Andy Reid's gameplan sucks, and he went away from what's working!" and "the OL is terrible" and "another drop, damn!"...

and then comes full circle to being nothing more than back to one single focus of blame.

did you ever stop to think that maybe people decided maybe they were wrong about the play calling after seeing the all 22? When there are players running free in the secondary and Alex isn't hitting them, that kinda changes the "OMG OUR PLAY CALLING SUCKS" notion.

So you want to cherry pick quotes. Congrats.

You get that every ****ing play. Smith throws a horrible throw? 25 posts about how he should die. Smith throws a great deep ball? 30 posts of "Holy shit....Alex!".

You aren't proving shit.
