If the Chiefs didn't draft Kris Wilson...
No replys about hindsight being 20/20.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfldraft/d.../round?round=2 If we took a WR instead , maybe, we could have moved up and got Devry Henderson or instead taken KEARY COLBERT. Denver' s pick Darius Watts is flaming out right now. |

I know of a few people that wasn't happy with taking Wilson with Colbert on the board without the benefit of hindsite but I'm not going to mention names.

You could also apply this question to if the Chiefs didn't draft Junior Siavii, Ryan Sims, Eric Downing, Eddie Freeman, etc or all the other busts drafted during the Peterson era

Keary Colbert is currently on pace for 309yds and 0 touchdowns.
Kris Wilson is on pace for nothing, but it's not like Colbert or Henderson is tearing it up. I've actually watched Colbert some and he drops a lot of catchable passes.

I'd take colbert over wilson in a heartbeat, him and kennison might actually be a threat together.

Colbert had a few 100 yard games last year playing as the #2 (I suppose, since Steve Smith was hurt). Showed some promise I thought.
Now that I look he finished with 750 yards and 5 TD's last year... Kennison-like numbers, give or take, with the exception of last year. No one on Carolina's roster other than Smith has more than a handful of receptions this year so it might just be the offense. We don't draft well, but we haven't seen what he can do given a chance to mature yet, and every team has a spotty draft history to one degree or another. Maybe the thought was, with the Dunn situation how it was last offseason, that Wilson would be his eventual replacement. |

I wanted Colbert. There's nothing really hindsight about that. I liked Henderson a lot too. I remember him playing well at the Senior Bowl I think.
