So if the Chiefs sign him to a similar deal, they carry a $4 million cap charge for 2021. Instead the Steelers signed him to that deal, the signing bonus accelerates onto their cap instead of ours and the remaining base salary is pro-rated over the remaining 9 games to only about $600K.

So we traded a 6th round pick for roughly $3.5 million in cap space.

I kinda feel like that's a no-brainer.
Especially given the cap contraction.

our offense has the players just cant get it together...

WRs arent the problem..Mahomes and the play calling are

Tyreek and Kelce two of the best ball catchers in the NFL. . Mecole is a decent gadget guy, pringle is a fine possession WR. . and we got Gordon. .

which WR was on the trading block that you wanted?

Chiefs basically gave up nothing for a warm body who will likely bring in a similar value comp pick for next year. I don’t see the problem.

Because we have 9 games left and we are only 1.5 games out of 1st place in the West. Now is not the time to wave the white flag. I agree that we need more help at WR and Safety, but unfortunately, I think we are going to have to find that help from within the roster (I'm looking at you, Josh Gordon).

Our offense does not have the players. Hardman, Pringle and Robinson can't beat man coverage at all. It's been shown every week.

Why did the Steelers trade him again?

Sound like a really dumb move unless he sucks.

I hope so.

I'd really like to see Kamu Grugier-Hill from Houston. He's essentially what the Chiefs wish Niemann would be. There's nothing spectacular there, but he can play and he's a legit athlete.

There are potentially a few splashier options available (Anzalone would seem to be a nice fit and would presumably be available), but for a 6th or 7th round pick, I'd think KGH would be gettable. Or his teammate and our old buddy Kevin Pierre Louis. I like him quite a bit as well.

Dude, the division leading Raiders are entirely catchable. Winning this division (if they quit fumbling and tipping up passes for INTs) is entirely feasible.

It's still right there to win.
