Wow - and the "Bell Watch" continues. My worst nightmares about this chump are coming true.

WTF is going on with Bell?
First it was his back, now they're saying it's his shoulder? That wasn't even why he was damaged goods last season is it? |

Don't sweat it...I am pretty confident we will get close to two quarters out of him in the first game before he misses the remainder of the season. It's a good thing they didn't go after Hartwell when you can get a really fast guy that never plays.

There is 0 reason to panic its early in the exhibition season. They're just blowing smoke to get him some extra rest, there's really no reason for him to be banging around in preseason games.
By the way if you think Bell is a chump, I'd hate to see what you think of the rest of our defense. |

The are holding him out alright but not because everything is ready to go....The fact he has missed so much time the last two seasons he would be the one player they most want to get some contact to get him back into football shape.

Bell didn't pass the NY Giants physical...There obviously was reason for that. My guess the Chiefs will come out looking like the usual morons in the front office over this. Hope I am wrong but sure as hell isn't looking good.

Absolutely - and I said so before the signing. My reasoning was pretty simple - There was no injury question with Hartwell and we were weaker at MLB IMO. We went for the cheapest deal, which would offer the most return, IF Bell were healthy. He is not so the "cheap" deal ends up being expensive.

Kendrell Bell played in 44 of 48 games going into last season. So where is this idea that he's missed 2 complete seasons coming from? Injuries are a part of football people get hurt it happens. I think freaking out about a guy not playing for precautionary reasons in games that don't count is a bit much.
As far as Hartwell goes, I'm not a big fan of his. He's a decent tackler but he's slow as sin. He's not that physically gifted plus he made his name playing next to one of the best players in the league with other star players surrounding him. Kendrell Bell was the most talented FA LB this year. Just for arguement sake if we had signed Hartwell instead of Bell. We'd all be sitting here flipping out about OLB because Fox and Fujita were highly unimpressive the other night. I think the situation is better right now with Bell than it would be with Hartwell just my opinion though I guess. |
