He's way more naturally gifted than Timmy Chang or pretty much any just "system" QB.
I'd consider him the 3rd QB in next years draft.....if the Chiefs somehow manage to go 8-8 or something like that I wouldn't be totally opposed to the pick....I just don't think he's a top 10 guy. |

I have watched very little of him but have been impressed.
I just started watching college games last year (like the Chiefs on both line positions) so I may be way off base. |

After the 1st 2 QB's the drop off is big but intangibles are important to a position like QB and Brennan is tough and brings leadership. |

Brennan'll get broken in half at the next level and he's a punk.
Brennan's best attribute is probably his legs and that really doesn't have much to do with the quarterback position. His accuracy is overrated and he does not have great arm strength. His decision making is worse than Brohm and Woodson and he doesn't read defenses like the other 3 QBs can. And on top of that, he'd need a complete change of mechanics at the next level. He'd be a total project and is nowhere near the prospect Brohm, Woodson, and Ryan are. |

In all honesty I'm not sure any of these QB's will be "the guy" this isn't exactly an impressive QB year.....every guy has major questions.

He had a bad game tonight, but he still brought them back from a deep hole to win in OT. He has the smarts, the physical ability and the heart to be a good QB. Chang was a product of the system, Brennan is more than that. Mark my words. |

1. He isn't a punk, he is a smart, capable, humble, and well respected kid. If you are talking about his reason for leaving Colorado, he is a different person now. 2. He has a hell of a strong arm. 3. He usually makes good decisions. This week he stunk it up in the rain, but that isn't the Colt Brennan I've watched a lot of. 4. He has great mechanics, as the commentator pointed out tonight. |

He had been good at not turning the ball over coming into this year, but he's gotten reckless this season and he's not good enough to make up for that, even when he's playing crappy competiton. Quote:
Tell me, how good is Colt at play action? You've got no idea because he's never had to work with a running game and because he's never had to read a defense while under center. Last edited by HolmeZz; 10-12-2007 at 11:09 PM.. |

Yep, June Jones has coached some great ones. Chris Chandler and Stan Humphries come to mind.

June Jones absolutely loved Jeff George also.....well until they got into it but he loved his physical talent I should say.

How many have you coached? Armchair coaches that think they know more than professionals (and are obnoxious about it) make me laugh. |
