Tell me about Chase Winovich

I’ve seen a couple of Mich games this year and the kid showed nice pass rush skills. Is he worth #63?

If we don’t trade up for Ferrell he’d be nice in the nickel as a speed rusher. Regardless we have zero speed off the edge right now.

Alot of rumblings about him at the end of the first. I like him alot and would have pushed hard for him to be the pick had KC stuck with a 3-4. He's a bit small for a 4-3 end and his frame is nearing maxed out. That said, I wouldn't be disappointed, kid can ball.

Throw about any stereotypical label a white player gets on him, as I'm sure all the scouts are applying them.

I do like the kid though. Great heads up recognition, non-stop motor and a hard worker. It's good to have a classic overachiever or two IMO

Is he a lunch pail guy? Does he play the game intellectually? Does he remind us of Jared Allen?

He's also a real "football player," and plays with "high football IQ".

On NFL Live Louis Riddick may have tipped Veach/Andy's hand, he had Winovich at #5 for his top 5 football players that he believes will be successful no matter who selects them in the 2019 Draft

He's a good player. Lighter than the DE's we've been signing. Zach Allen is kind of the exact same guy only 20 pounds heavier.

If there isn't a S or CB worth taking at #29, I wouldn't mind getting Winovich.

We could probably trade down into the late 30's and still take him.
