The Chiefs cant even wipe their asses right in your mind, if I felt as bad as you always do I swear to God I'd quit this team so fast it'd make your damn head spin.
Nothing less than the next Tom Brady...

Yet I'd take Kaepernick in a ****ing heartbeat. Or Matt Stafford. Or Matt Ryan. Or Russell Wilson. Or Cam Newton.

All QB's this fanbase has gone out of their way to bash for some reason or another.

My mantra hasn't changed in the almost nine years I've been here - draft a QB early, and if you whiff, draft another one early until you hit paydirt.

I'm not the impatient one when it comes to young QB's. It's you jackholes that spend every waking moment here defending a guy who has shown 6 games of decent play (and it's not just Alex, the same folks said the same things about Cassel) while criticizing talented young QB's around the league.

If you people think Kaepernick is garbage, YOU'RE the folks that won't be pleased unless we draft the next Brady.

Quit projecting.

Kaep, Stafford, Ryan and Newton... I'd take Smith, in a game right now, over either of those four... you can say I'm lying because "well he's a Chief and scott free is a ****ing homer".

But you'd be dead wrong, Smith, at this point in his career, isn't going to make most of the dumb mistakes all of those guys consistently make.

"Draft a high round QB every damn year"... I've said that over and over through the years, but if you keep going One and Two with QB's every draft it just might come back to bite you... it always smart to gamble on a high stakes player here and there, but doing that consistently also neglects the rest of the team.

Yeah, its a QB driven league... but a couple of high round misses in a row is a big detriment to the team overall, as big as QB is these days they still don't play defense or run the ball etc.

And really "other teams trash" has surely applied to most QB's we've had the last ten years... but Smith isn't trash, at all, and any objective look at his last three years in the NFL makes that clear... he's an ascending player right now, even at his age, because he's been in the right systems the last few years.

Could Kaep absorb a WCO playbook as quickly as Smith did? **** no he couldn't, don't even try to say it... bottom line is that Smith isn't "trash"... the fact that some of you guys can so readily discount a NINE GAME IMPROVEMENT, no matter the NFL teams played, tells me you aren't being objective.

Its just knee jerk ****ing city around here with some of you... WE LOST IN INDY SOOO BAD ITS ALL HIS FAULT... yet we wouldn't have even SNIFFED Indy without Smith.

GREAT fu**ing post!

Yeah, some folks just get bedazzled by the big-play-wow types that can run really fast and have great arm strength. Me? I like the smart and methodical QBs that may not be flashy, but handle their business... especially when the game is on the line.

Your last 51 games sig pretty much says it all, yet many Chiefs fans will bend over so far their heads end up in their asses trying to diminish those numbers.

And this coming from someone who'd love nothing better than to slander the guy for being a welching, greedy bitch who's reeeally pushing his luck and losing a lot of fan respect in the process... its time to SETTLE IT and get focused on 2014, Alice.

Whatever OTWP, who's ACTUALLY being embarrassed here is anyones bet, dude... we won 9-11 WHILE HE LEARNED A BRAND NEW SYSTEM ON A BRAND NEW TEAM AND EVERYONE ELSE HE WAS PLAYING WITH WAS LEARNING AS WELL.

But no, lets don't count all of those first year hurdles, that mfer should've stepped right in and threw for 4000 and 35 TD's minimum, amirite?... he played it safe! *cry and wipe boogers* why didn't he just kick ass right away?

Have fun this year, if you can bear it... goodnight.

Wow to the first part, and thank you for proving my point on the bolded part.

Would drafting a QB and missing have been worse than drafting who we've drafted with Top 5 picks the last 5-6 years?

Nope.

You're not picking a QB every year. If you take a guy in R1, you're going to give him at least 3 years to show you something before you draft another to replace him. Your logic is faulty.

Wouldn't have sniffed Indy without Smith, yet we won 9 of our 11 games with him playing like a below average QB.

Seriously, just stop. You're embarrassing yourself.

Stafford I can see

But I can't actually believe people would rather have Alex Smith over Kaep, Cam Newton, or Matt Ryan

That is just absurd

If your sole reason for wanting Smith is that he won't make mistakes then you fundamentally disagree with the notion of drafting and developing a qb

Going through the growing pains to get a playmaker

If the Raiders had made the same moves that we did for Alex Smith everybody would pointing and laughing their ass off.

The double standards don't stop there.

"First year hurdles" is an excuse for a 30 year old QB, but there are no excuses for guys in their first or second year. Should be the other way around, and why no mater how much people say it, they want no part of drafting and developing a QB.

Smith has a 4-6 year head start on some of these guys, and he's held to LESS of a standard than the younger guys.

Only on CP.
