Hey, maybe both guys sucked and had to go. It's Cleveland, so I don't know the answers. That owner's now fired 2 coaches, 2 GMs and a CEO in his short stint as owner, and he's now got a CEO, GM and HC who all report directly to him instead of it being a HC/GM/CEO sort of chain of command. I just found it funny that people had the knives out already, without knowing the story.

This is true, but they are just gonna turn around and draft another one. You can try and bring in a FA, but there are only so many Priest Holmes that work out that way. You're better off drafting one.

If you have a conversation today about lets say in no order, the top 5 running backs in the league.

Charles, Ap, Lesean McCoy, Marshawn Lynch, and, um, Forte just for giggles, only two of those were top 10 picks, only two of them were first rounders, and only one succeeded with his original team.

The Browns, will not pick a running back in the first round this year.

Trent Richardson, was a severe overreach. I have problems dealing with that, because I really liked him. But, they did him no favors in Cleveland, and getting a first for him was pure genius. Its not the moves apparently that has everyone hating Banner. Its, WORKING FOR BANNER, that is coming out as the problem. In that hes a complete dick head that no one likes.

Hard to work like that.

Agreed but I think Jim Brown was right in his analysis of TR that he is soft and not just his physical play but you can see now his 'me first, sour attitude' as well which is also mentally soft.

I guess it makes sense that they needed to promote Farmer, you couldn't get a new GM to come there now with a questionable coaching hire that he didn't make, to start draft prep and such in mid February

They’ve been turned down by several coaches offered the HC job and they all cited the dysfunctional front office as why. So I’m assuming a change had to be made just to get a coaching staff in there.

Yep. But I don't think Ray is a great hire. Maybe he's the best option at the moment.

Why do you think Ray is not fit for GM duty?

What has he accomplished? I seriously don't know. Do you? Was he a great scout? Can he find hard to find talent? Does he know numbers well? Does he draw up great contracts? Is he a wizard capologist? Seriously, what has he done?

That wouldn't be a surprise I guess. At least ownership figured out who the problem was...
