Where will EB end up at as a HC ?

EB is as good as gone this year for sure, so where will he end up? There is going to be several places at the end of the year, where do we not want him at and why?

Should we fear him?

Is EB as good as an OC as the media is throwing his name out there or is it Andy, or even Pat.

Discuss.

He's not coaching there, which is really all that matters at this point. We don't know why.

This offseason will tell. If he isn’t a head coach it’s because he wants to be a part of the greatest dynasty ever.

Actually, DePodesta was pretty influential in the Browns HC search and already had a liking for Stefanski after he'd interviewed the year prior but the job ended up going to Kitchens. Not too hard to read what happened here.

Which is why I see the Giants as a legitimate option. IF they end up with the #1 pick it'll be pretty clear that they ****ed up and chose the wrong candidate. Who better to replace him and develop Lawrence than Bieniemy? May even get to choose his own GM since Gettleman ****ing sucks too.

The Jets job isn't bad if they have the #1 pick, you'd have a start of Mekhi Becton and Trevor Lawrence, extra picks from the Adams trade and you'd be able to move Darnold for something.

He'd have to rebuild the WR corp though.

That shouldn't be too hard. Teams lately are finding tons of WR talent that can immediately contribute deep into the second round

Then you probably lose Mike Kafka who is an integral part of Patrick's development and a rising star coach in the NFL.

Denzel Mims has potential there, they do need to shed Bell and Mosely's contracts though.

I was only thinking about it from the vantage point of EB. Losing Kafka wouldn't be ideal. From the Chiefs perspective, who do you value long term more? EB or Kafka? If its Kafka (which makes sense given Reid has said EB's may not be here much longer) then you give EB the best reference you can when he interviews and then start grooming Kafka. A 5-6 year window would probably be an ideal transition time for him to be the successor.

Long shot prediction; Brees retires from the Saints after this year and Sean Peyton follows suit, New Orleans hires EC.

Yeah, I would hate losing EB but its inevitable. He deserves his shot and seems to want to be an HC in the right situation. Andy Reid is the HC and O coordinator when it's all said and done. I do think Andy respects EB and often goes with his advice. Since Reid been here he hasn't had a bad OC so his replacement would be fine. I think that would be Kafka and Andy and the Chiefs wouldn't miss a beat.

Very possible but Andy did sign an extension.
