Anders is one of my favorites too.
A lot of A-listers have been given so I'm going to go with a B-list player to widen the field...another one of my favorites...3rd down back Todd McNair. |

I'm old school; To me it's a toss-up between Buck Buchanan or Willie Lanier. This team needs an outstanding LB more right now so I'd go with Lanier. Either one would absolutely wreck opposing offenses.

Mr. Lanier would rip some of these present day pretty-boys' heads off and feed them to their mommas. ET would knock the socks off most present day WRs before they got beyond the 5 yard no contact zone and then run down a 2nd guy. OT once took on Ben Davidson. You think he wouldn't be a threat to not only catch a bomb, but throw a devastating block downfield? Cherry wouldn't allow any coverage confusion in his defensive backs. Naw, they'd do just fine.

Charles over Holmes. Love me some Priest, but he benefited from perhaps the greatest OLine this team has ever seen. Charles, not so much, and he buried Priest in every way.

Damn, I'd almost go with Willie Roaf. Protect Pat and make our run game impressive at the same time.

A fun one that would be totally unfair: Tony Gonzalez
One that might make more sense: Dale Carter or James Hasty |

Jerome Woods, Lloyd Burruss, Kevin Ross, Ronnie Lott, Stephone Paige. Too many come to mind for just one for me

Based on our current needs I'd say James Hasty. CB being our biggest need and he could take the game's best out.
If we trade/sign a CB I'd go with Shields or Gonzo. This offense would be insane with Gonzo, Kelcee, Hill, and Watkins...

Maybe a little faster, but I highly doubt Jack Lambert, Lawerence Taylor or Dick Butkis etc would be within a million miles of average in ANY era..

Dale Carter. He would've been the best CB in the league for several years, except for the existence of Deion Sanders.

lawrene taylor isnt old enough, im talking pre 1980. Great great players for their time but they wouldn't hold up now days. Also, I get it if they were born now and had the nutrition and training these guys have they would probably be fine but if you take the player out of their time and move them into now days they would get slaughtered
