Is it time to start being a little bit concerned about the Raiders?

3-2 record

back to back wins against quality teams. Colts and Bears.

They definitely seemed improved on on the verge of a breakout. Their Oline is solid, wish we had their line.

Well...they do have a new stadium in Vegas to fill...I mean who saw this turn around coming? *cough cough* They haven't been this good since the year they needed to sell the move....and set a NFL record for 4th quarter comebacks.

I guess Carr is somehow "clutch" only when there is NFL money to be had...

I hope Gruden sent Andy flowers for keeping the division interesting....

Looking at their schedule....9-7, but probably 8-8.

But that sure beats 4-12.

Everyone laughed when the Raiders hired Gruden. And laughed some more when he said he was going to make the team over old school.

The Colts and the Bears aren't laughing now.

The Raiders may not be contenders for the AFC-W crown this year, maybe not even next year. They're still missing a few pieces, and obviously they're a bit thin in some spots.

But they will be in the hunt for a playoff berth next year. I believe they will completely supplant the Chargers as the 2nd best team in the AFC-W by next year.

I never doubted that Gruden could still coach. I only doubted that the Raiders organization would give him the tools necessary to succeed. Well, they gave him the keys to the car. And it seems that he's taking full control and building himself something nasty from circa 1998.

The Chiefs were too bored to laugh when they easily beat the Raiders 28-10, despite going into autopilot mode for three quarters of the game.

If we end up having to be concerned then something has gone horribly wrong.

Given how weak the AFC looks and looking at their schedule, they certainly have a good shot at winning a few more games than people probably expected. They might very well be favored against the Bengals, Jets and Broncos. If they could split with the Chargers or better on top of that, they could put themselves in solid playoff contention.

No, this is playing out exactly how we should want it to.

Them winning makes it that much more difficult to get a legit QB.

i already worry too much about the Chiefs. I have not time to worry about other teams.

Injuries are a concern to me, the offensive and defensive lines seemingly lack of toughness is a concern to me. The penalties are a concern to me. The head coach giving coach speak about how this is on him and he will fix it is a concern to me. The trading away of draft picks for players is a concern to me. The fact that I've seen the Chiefs do this before is a concern to me.

Agreed... i don't worry about the Raiders. I do see them as a team on the rise because of their draft position. Gruden isn't an idiot, he sees how trading players for draft picks can help build a young, cheap and powerful team.

They beat a Chase Daniels lead Bears team whose defence was playing like asshole. Forgive me if I seem unimpressed but... I'm unimpressed.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but that supposedly almighty Bears defence gave up way more points than our abortion of a defence against the same offence.
