Car shopping again

There isn't shit in the Topeka market. Considering a trip to KC to try and find something.

Looking for under 80k miles and under $12k with no salvage titles. What lots would be the best to hit that aren't back woods lots.

I had an 08 TrailBlazer. Thing was Bullet Proof. I wish they still made them.

I've had family do business with Holm and had good things to say about them.

I test drove it of course super nice but got up to fifty and starts shimmy just lightly and pulls to the right I think needs alignment not big deal or just needs rotate tires to back. However I couldn't make a deal because my the dealer isn't associated with my financial institute Credit Acceptance so closest dealership that is is in Witchita and that's two hours away. So oh well no real loss.

Getting hard to find vehicles under 150000 miles to help get loans also.

I like older vehicles that you can actually work on that don't have all that electrical crap that if you change the battery out the thing goes hay wire.

I once bloodied up my knuckles on a cold ass day changing a dead battery in a 2016 car that the battery was practically under the dash and no way to get a grip on it to pull it out. WTF.

When it comes to cars, I can do oil changes, and once I replaced brake pads and shoes under close supervision. And I haven't done either in decades at this point. That could have been the problem, but alas I'll never know.

I sold cars for about a decade 1999-2012. Recently just went car shopping on lots for the first time and it was an eye opening experience. Having had the experience of what it was like in their shoes I tried to be a cool customer. I went to 6-7 lots around my area and the stuff I ran into was NO business cards, no asking for info, NO follow up when they did get our info (I emailed a place far away and they called twice), taking calls while with a customer, lighting up a cigarette when with customer, not one walk around. Seems things have changed since I was a salesperson and maybe that's the market now.

In the end we ended up buying a car from I guy who we felt comfortable with. Lots of basic things that are said about buyers in training are really true. I ended up buying something completely different then what I started out looking at and the color really didn't matter in the end. Joe Verde was right!

Three years ago, I was looking for a crossover for my daughter to drive and we settled on the Chevy Equinox. We looked at the CR-V, The Rogue, The Rav 4 and the Tucson. All good vehicles, All have strengths & weaknesses. There was just something about the Equinox that both my daughter and I liked better.

Three years later, couldn't be happier. The car has been solid.

That's crazy. They have a dealer school around here for car salesmen and it was a really good course. Taught a lot about the business.

Sounds like your area needs one.

I'm refinancing my house and going to save $500 a month. Rates are really low.

upfront closing costs negated our savings and we are already fairly low on the interest rate already thanks to 2008.
